My Grandmother and her Sister came from Germany on the Kindertransport having been sponsored by Lady Rothschild along with a group of boys from a boarding school. She taught us all about her experiences as a war refugee and the pain of seeing some of their family slaughtered in front of them as children and the rest sent to death in concentration camps. We continue that now for her since she died last year. I'm grateful she didn't have to witness this again.
