Once upon a time there lived a king and a Queen in a castle ruling over a small country. They both loved each other. The Queen discovered pink gold, a rare thing indeed and no one in the kingdom knew how to get it. Everyone wanted the pink gold, but the Queen pledged her husband would only receive the gold she acquired.

The whole Kingdom wanted some of that pink gold. Only two people had it. The King loved his wife all the more for only he could gain the most precious pink gold. This made it all the more valuable to everyone else as no one else could acquire it.

Now the Queen at one time became enamored of a peasant boy and decided to give him a small amount of her pink gold to acknowledge her favor for this handsome young man. The Queen soon found out that this young man did anything for her because of this valuable gift and she liked it. With her husband everything had to be done co-cooperatively. She realized that she had power over this young man who would do anything for her and the pink gold.

Before long the Queen had a string of suitors from the kingdom all bearing pink gold given to them from the Queen. The Queen wanted for nothing now and everything she wished would be carried out by her suitors.

Almost everyone in the kingdom had pink gold now. The King realized this and knew that his pink gold wasn't valuable anymore. Everyone had his wife's pink gold, he was no longer special to his wife and felt unloved. He had his wife beheaded and collected all the pink gold in the Kingdom and had it sequestered in the Royal Treasury.

The moral of the story. If you love your husband or wife give them your pink gold. If you give it to everyone else it is no longer valuable.
