Opening Night! The limited run of our stage adaptation of "A Christmas Carol," by Charles Dickens, had its first performance tonight, and things went well. I like our take on this classic story - we did it for the holidays in 2022, and it's good to return to it. We perform on a spare mostly-bare stage, with costumes but largely without props, using voices and sounds to make atmosphere out of emptiness. It is, after all, a ghost story. I play the Ghost of Jacob Marley, and it's a part I really enjoy. I was actually on this same stage just two weeks ago playing Gremio in "The Taming of the Shrew," so we moved really fast on this one. Since some of us already knew the rough bones of this show, we were able to cram an awful lot of rehearsing into a very modest space of time.
Four more shows, and then we break for the holidays! So, here, let's have some more giveaways. This is an old key, recently revealed, and it should work fine. If you have trouble with it, please let me know.
