Mind that episode 1 was given away as a permanent license in the past. (It's now always free as a removable license.)
In case of a perm license, it shows up as "Life is Strange™" on the Steam profile, even though only the free episode 1 is owned and not the complete season.
So in short, it's not possible to check whether the winner has the complete season or just the 1st episode.
