I looked up what the issue was out of curiosity, and as always, it's not disappearing women and gays out of translation and presenting the work to western audiences like asians would perceive it (which always requires modifications to fit different cultural context,given how different say politeness expression in both languages is). I tried to look up several times what they would prefer instead and it's always soulless, word-after-word dictionary translaton that butchers work, loses all the idioms and expressions meaning 80% of context is just gone, as long as it's sanitized from everything not far right white male (which is hilarious seeing it's work that stars asians and if it was on TV, the exact same crowd would be howling wOkE seeing no white actors in it, mental gymnastics much?)...
