At the time of writing this is a train station but the "Hoekse Lijn" project is converting the Schiedam - Hoek van Holland (Hook of Holland) railway line to use subway/light-rail carriages, making it part of RET's Lijn A & B. The project should be finished in 2017 (but we all know how these things get delayed) and once done we should be able to go from "beach to beach" (Nesselande has a beach at the lake).
