I can understand that, but I think it would be a waste to gift the collection to someone who already owns the base game, which is 40% (in value) of the collection

The problem is that the base game was in an indie bundle recently (IG Magicka), so a lot of people have it but want the DLC as well.

i already got the base game as a gift from a friend but i haven't redeemed it yet so i'm going to wait till this is over and if i win i'll gift the game to another friend

Same here. And I really hope the winner will play and cherish this game because it is amazing! Don't enter unless you like these kind of games. It includes very much economics and planning.
