I couldn't find any real interesting facts about uncles... so grappling hooks

Bacteria use Batman-like grappling hooks to ‘slingshot’ themselves onto surfaces!
Bacteria use these structures, known as type IV pili (TFP), to slingshot their bodies from one surface to another. This allows them to move rapidly. Otherwise, since bacteria are covered in a viscous material called polysaccharides, they would not be able to move very quickly at all.

The Mantis Shrimp has the most complex eyes ever discovered in nature. While dogs have two color cones, and humans have three (green, blue, and red) that lets us see millions of colors, the Mantis Shrimp has SIXTEEN of them. The can see so many colors we cant even comprehend them, all the way up the UV scale.

Not only that, but their claws have the speed of a .22 calibre bullet and 1,500 Newtons of force. You cant keep them in aquariums because not only would it murder literally anything else in the tank, but it can punch right through the glass.

The snapping (or pistol) shrimp is about 3-5cm long, but despite its size it's one of the loudest creatures of the sea. When snapping one of their claws together they can generate sounds up to 218dB, and when the resulting airbubble collapses it generates so much energy that it can begin to glow briefly,. When the bubble collapses it can also reach temperatures up to 4700 degrees Celcius.
