As much as I want to redeem this gift and say thanks, it keeps saying it is a duplicate code/has been used on another account which is strange. Not sure whether to click received or not received at the moment. Please could someone help?

If you don't get working key to enter to steam, then it's not received.
If you hit received and nobody can see it in you steam account, your might get a ban as all wins need to be redeem to your own steam account.

Plus it seems to be a regift so the giveaway maker most likely is going to get a timeout.
