Well, thanks for your hint.
The pattern I see is for the first digit from (the not written) 0: +2 -1
for the remainders simply +1
...but in the end (0)498, 4980 or 4981 are wrong...
maybe you can give the "solution" (seems there could be more than 1) once the GAs are over.

the hurdle was that one digit affected one other. The logic of the single digits and their operators made me only think "counting up/down" the respective digit. anyways, solved! Some solid GAs there.
And a riddle solved, I am happy :D
