It was free on AWA as promotion for its launch and the keys ran out as quickly as they usually do in there, but yeah it was actually free. I got lucky and saw that at the right time so I managed to get one then :P
It's a nice game tho, definitely would recommend it. I got stuck on a boss fight and didn't finish it, should probably get around to that at some point since I think there was a balancing update at some point.

Depends on the game and the tier required. The general giveaways drop at any time like a surprise and you just have to get lucky and see them, those usually last a few hours but there has been rare cases when the keys lasted over a month.
And then you have the vault, that happens every month and everyone knows the date weeks in advance so the games in high demand are usually gone in roughly 10 seconds.
From what I've seen by people that frequent the site, it's decent if you enjoy the metagaming but judging by the amount of time and effort you have to put into it, you're likely much better off just getting some nice deals directly from the people that do bother with it rather than investing it yourself (i.e. trading or buying those games directly once they hit AWA and thus become much cheaper). I don't know the details since I've never tried it myself, but that's what I'm expecting.
AWA is not really worth the grind anymore. They rarely make giveaways for anything other than beta test, loot content and things like that anymore, for any level; and the whole "limited vault" that opens once a month for about 0.2 seconds until the bots grab all the keys is not worth it either.
I did get an Alienware screen for 100 bucks with my Dell Rewards Points but even that's pretty f**ked in Europe because they have almost nothing on the Dell Store and you have to pay 100 bucks (as of last year) to be able to use your reward points on anything
