There are mistakes I've made throughout my life that remind me of your missed appointment here. I think the goal is to learn from your mistake, try to improve the situation the best you can with what you have to work with and to not allow this experience to have a negative impact on your life mentally. Learn from the mistakes that allowed you to miss the appointment and use that knowledge to prevent things like this from happening again in the future. :)
