It is Steam. By the time you'd release the first patch, the game would be on page 40 of the "new releases" with the amount of shit coming to the store. I have seen a community-enhanced marketing stunt pushing an indie game to the top10 wishlisted games of Steam in a 2-week period, only to almost utterly die under two weeks after launch with practically nobody even remembering it now—and we are talking a 2018 release. The sheer amount of white noise on the Steam store has muted quite the number of promising indies.

Totally agree with you m8! That's why we are trying to use different ways. We are not actually "indie", we are the small dedicated team which works with a publisher who helps us a lot with funds and marketing.
The publisher has marketing plans and at the same time, Developers have some thoughts about promoting (like this GA for example).
I agree that it's really hard to get some visibility on Steam in 2018 but we will try. :-)

Alawar is… well, it is surely a better way than self-publishing. However, they are associated with casual games (mostly cheap hidden object games) on Steam, despite being one of the larger game publisher/distributor on the continent. Hopefully they will be able to handle this one in digital distribution.
(Although I would give it more hope if it had single-player. ^.^')

Alawar got new brand Alawar Premium (https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/AlawarPremium) it's dedicated to Midcore games.
Single player campaign... yeah my dreams. Devs say that they have plans to do this but at first, they need to be sure that there is a positive feedback for art, UI et.c. and core Multiplayer gameplay.

Oboy, that would need a player base. Going to be tricky in the age of "all my schoolmates play Fortnite so I do as well".
So, Alawar is trying to branch out again after the early 2000s attempts when they thought it could be a good way to escape the pressure from Reflexive, Big Fish, and GameHouse. It resulted on some interesting games in the budget CD-ROM grocery store kind of releases. Even had one or two back then.
One way to try and rise above the ocean of asset flip shit, I guess. Well, good luck with it! ^_^ I fear you may need it. :|

We are. I went deep into casual gaming around 2003, when it almost overtook AAA gaming in quality, ideas, and sometimes in revenue (I remember the release version of Crimsonlands, when it was still fully 2D. =)). I saw Reflexive Arcade's farewell message when they let everyone download the games before closing shop. I remember when GameHouse released awesome games, especially in the puzzle categories.
Now the mobile market has the same effect, only with more cash-grab fake game to shift through. I guess this is the downside of video gaming going full mainstream in all ages.

Joke besides.... i am not very active in/at such groups and not since a long time, so i have much lesser experience with it then other users.
Each game that i don't want to have on my wishlist are kicked from it after such a promotion.
This game are still there and i can remember me on it without a problem. That should say a bit.
I can't know right now if the game will be a great game or have a lot of buyers but i can know that i am interested on it for the right price.

Game looks interesting, I have been following it for awhile. I thought there was single player. Very XCom Tactical looking. However, I am not looking to actively participating in Multiplayer games. Due to an older PC and region problems. I wish you success for more Tactical Strategy out there for Multiplayers. I need to see more Strategy flair in the market.
