I'm planing to read those, but I've got some others on my way also, mostly some good fantasy or sci-fi from my country. Or some good vampire stories from Anna Rice.

I tried reading the book, after I saw the original Trailer I fell inlove with the atmosphere (I love the post-apocalyptic theme) so I went out and ordered a copy of the book, I read 4 pages of it then gave up, reading is not a activity that should be attempted by a person with ADHD lol.
The bit that I did read was good though.

In the moment Metro 2034, Metro 2035 will be the next! ^^

Really liked the first one (2033), 2034 was kinda meh and 2035 is somewhere in between.

I've read both the 2033 and 2034 books.

I only read a rough fan translation of the first and attempted to read the second, but I did not really keep much in my memory, since it was confusing. The translation, that is. I hope to read the proper, official English versions some day and the next book, too.

The books are richer in terms of mythology, of course. They are much more depressing, too. Though I suppose expecting an FPS game to maintain all of that and mainstream appeal is not exactly doable. I think they did a good job, considering the medium and usual approach. Though I have a few less-than-kind words about the games' treatment of female characters.

I do remember a few things from the books though. I remember the scene with the Librarian. It is a shame they became dumb apes in the game. Maintaining their intelligence and mimicking ability would have made the game so much creepier. I also remember the sounds from the pipes which would beckon people to their doom. I think these and a scene where the protagonist speaks with two people in an abandoned station who appear to know a lot, but might be ghosts (not sure which book it was in) are what I remember most. The first two because of how scary they were and the two wise ghosts because I was curious about their identity and knowledge of the world.

I didn't read these books but I seen a huge poster on local shop window

Read 2033 and 2034, sadly 2034 was not nearly as good as the first book :(

I've read Metro 2033. I absolutely loved it and it's one of my favourite books ever. Now I'm reading 2034 and I can't finish. It's not bad, but well... it's not the same
