It's sometimes difficult to correctly communicate, because of translation or context , but still I think by reading someone you know them better.

Sarcasm and irony are notoriously hard to communicate online (I've been in trouble before because of the fact my natural deadpan doesn't translate well) but sometimes feel easier to get to know people online than in real life.

I'm quite the same on that matter, so I try to limit this online, as it's difficult to convey, as you say :)

People make a lot of negative and wrong assumptions on me based their own character flaws. I don't complain, I don't troll, I don't attack people but just sharing my opinions and thoughts seems to garner a lot of negative attention.

Part of it is you have opinions, clarify them with a wall of text, and then say you don't want to discuss it. :D

No, in this you are very mistaken. I love discussing things at length. What I do not like is arguing with people who just want to be difficult. There is honestly no need for negativity. If someone seems to be having a negative reaction to the subject or is just flat out being nasty I drop it. As I have said there is no reason to stir a pot simply for the act of stirring. Disagreeing about something is fine but if someone is passionate about a topic, it's best not to poke it too much.
