Description

Congratulations on finding the super-secret giveaway! Yep, it's not Fallout 4, sorry!

This means that you're a literate, English speaking human, and that you actually read giveaway descriptions!

Still, I don't like rule-breakers, so I'll check all the entrants through SGTools' Rules Checkers, and those found guilty of rule-breaking will be considered for blacklisting.
But this time, there's also the possibility of getting on my Whitelist, although I don't feel like disclosing the requisites for that.

This key was obtained from the Humble Staff Picks bundle: Hamble, and will be added in the form of a Humble Bundle gift link, after verifying the winner.

Good luck!

You can freely comment here, although I'd prefer if you do so only if you have something meaningful to post.
Even though generic thanks aren't bad, I don't like seeing my inbox crammed with those.

25 only among the first 80 on the public giveaway, including one with 10 unactivated wins!
I'm not sure if my blacklist will be able to hold them all in 10 days...

I'm not overtly keen on comments to begin with, but I do enjoy a good social experiment. Good luck with your testing.

List of autojoiners and bots can be handy. Could you share it afterwards?

A nice experiment, the Resident Evil giveaway is going to break a thousand entries any minute now and this one just got its thirty fifth. Here is something I hope is meaningful, at least, to those that don't know. The summer sale starts on the 23 based on leaked dates.

Almost 1000 entries in 15 hours, 60 rule-breakers among the first 200, and 10 comments despite being warned against doing so.
So far, so good! It's gonna be a long week...

Also, LIMBO will be free on the 21st and 22nd: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/limbo-devs-next-game-gets-xbox-one-and-pc-release-/1100-6440696/

I really enjoy watching these hidden giveaways - A couple other fine folks have done them as well. Mainly I like to see how many people don't bother coming to the hidden giveaway. In this one, I loved the large font re blacklisting in the previous giveaway (and the number who just ignored it).

The RE game is a great giveaway since it will attract a lot of attention.

I didn't enter this giveaway since I bought the bundle already, but thanks for the giveaway nonetheless!

The next experiment do the same except with huge text for the link. That'd be hard to miss, even if they can't read.

I just recently stumbled upon those social experiment threads in the forum, and it's actually pretty surprising to me on the one hand, and then again I just think "humans...." (followed by a disappointed sigh ^^")

It has been a week or two since I am active here at SG (didn't know this page before, can you imagine?!), and the fact that the core of the people who actually really use this platform for some kind of mutual game exchanging with a twist of gambling, puzzle solving and discussing seems quite manageable kinda makes me happy too ;)

That those public GAs attract bots and leechers to that extent I wasn't aware, but since I am, I am quite grateful for the "real" GAs, which are the ones promoted in the discussions and provided as rewards for puzzles.

I never understood why some people copy and paste generic thanks in every giveaway they enter. It just seems so unnecessary. IMO the only time thanks in the comments is appreciated is when the winner thanks you for the win.

And I'm genuinely surprised at the amount of people that don't read descriptions, like this person is giving you a free game that they paid for. The least you could do is read what they have to say. I mean, this giveaway only has 41 entries while the RE giveaway has 1000+ (mind you I didn't enter this one because I don't think I'd play it). My point is how hard is it really to take 10 seconds out of your day to read a description, especially when you might get something good out of it

And on a sidenote even if you don't read descriptions you would have to be blind to not see the big blue link in the middle of all the black text lmao some people are just stupid

The problem isn't that people don't read descriptions, is that they don't even land on the giveaway page to see it, because they use scripts that add the "enter giveaway" button on the home page, or they outright use bots to enter giveaways in their place.
I believe there are even scripts that post generic thanks when they enter a giveaway, so that might be the reason for those...

Oh wow I didn't even know that those existed. It really isn't that time consuming to just open up the page and press enter giveaway...

For some reason, some of the people who use this site have it in their head that posting a comment to to a giveaway invisibly increases their chances of winning by some tiny percentage, like the RNG favours people who comment over people who don't. I don't think this is actually true, but it leads to scads of people posting "Thanks" or "Thanks for the giveaway!" comments in every giveaway they enter. :P
