Ninjas are the coolest. Unless we're talking about key-stealing ninjas. They're the worst.

Ninjas are great, but they sometime cut onions when they shouldn't.

I've seen a few of his movies (Paprika, Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers) as well as one of the TV series (Paranoia Agent).

They were definitely.. something else, to say the least. Funnily enough, I enjoyed tokyo godfathers the most though, which is probably the "most normal" one of the bunch.

I've heard quite a few people have that experience, and yeah, Tokyo Godfathers definitely stands out amongst the rest in his filmography. When I was sitting through it I was constantly expecting something "else"/the "wtf" element, but no. It ended up just being a very sweet and very enjoyable, heartwarming Christmas miracle story (one that managed to avoid all the typical cliches). Since you've watched just about all of what he directed except from 1, I would recommend that 1 though!! It's sort of in-between Tokyo Godfathers and the other two in-terms of trippiness, but is easy to follow. :O

I've actually downloaded it several months ago, but my anime backlog is even worse than my gaming one somehow >.<

Metroidvania a genre kept alive on PC nearly only by indie studios \o/

Satoshi Kon, I know the name, I remember I've watch most of his films in the same period, but it was at least a decade ago. So I barely remember them :/
I think I've watch Paprika first and since I liked the surreal drawings (I totally forgot the scenario), I watched the other films Perfect Blue, Millennium actress, Tokyo Godfathers and I discovered (if I remember right) they finally belong to different genres than Paprika. I remember that I appreciated it was for mature audience but I couldn't say more.... By the way, I've no idea until now that Satoshi Kon is dead... since 2010 :(

I guess it's time to re-watch them all + Paranoia Agent!
