I've noticed you as someone who is active in SteamGifts, and likes to give away high quality games. And I think you will be a good fit for the group.
I started the group, because I didn’t like the fact that any decent game in SteamGifts gets so many entries, people have virtually no chance of winning, and the games you do have a chance to win, are not very good (to say the least).
In our group, all games are of good quality, and each with a good winning chance.

I will skip on 5. Generally, you are heavily overthinking this. Just read slowly the bold marked part in the OP. And start from there. The process is quite easy. Consider why so many people not only "solved" it but also answered in the same manner.
I don't have enough knowledge to create a real cipher ^^' It would also drastically reduce the number of solvers. I just wanted to do something silly and make people smile a bit.
Not sure if and what kind of future giveaways/puzzles I will make. Maybe something more puzzling again, though my experience is rather mixed in that regard.
