That's what they said about Kodak and Blackberry. When a company remains stagnant and fails to innovate, they're going to be unseated by something newer and better.

Yeah... but what is the other option? Uplay? Origin? Meh..

probably

Most likely...that is if no WW3 or whatever happened until then^^
And even though the interface is still shit and valve has done nearly nothing(or at least not much/enough) to give us a better experience in the last years...it's still the best (shop) we got - and many are probably still glad valve was the only one not running away from PC-gaming like everyone else did (thinking it would be a sinking ship)^^

I think yes, but surely (and hopefully) not in it's current state, and Valve knows that too.

Unless some other platform comes along that makes Steam obsolete (as neither Origin or UPlay have a chance at doing it at the moment), I think there will be a very good chance of it still being around in 12 years (heck, will humanity even be around in 12 years?!?). Will it be like it is? Probably not. Twelve years is quite a long ways away, after all.
Congratulations on 6 years on Steam, Dave. Thank you for the train.:)
