Description

I've heard tell that there's a game called The Witness, where you explore a mysterious place with built-in puzzles. Taiji is that, but cute and pretty and pixellated, and according to some critics rather nicer to play.

Thank yous are always welcome, but if you'd like to answer a question instead: got anything fun you're planning to pick up in this year's Steam Spring Sale?

I got that Fanatical Charity Bundle, so I have some fun things from that to play. Haven't seen anything I super need from the sale. Saw some people talking about a bag of milk game.

I was waiting to have enough money to buy the charity bundle and was devastated to see it had sold out when I did! So many good games in there.

I have no idea what a game about a bag of milk would entail, but I'm intrigued.

It's like...a bag of milk inside a bag of milk? I've been too busy to want to investigate.

Thank you for sharing these little indies, because I immediately wishlisted The Sundew and Still Heroes. I'm surprised not to have heard of either before!

I follow a bunch of genre and topic curators, that's how I usually come across these nice gems :)

Sundew was apparently recommended to me by Puzzle Lovers.

While Still Heroes was rec'd by The Adventure Library and Inclusive Games.

I hope that helps :)

I haven't bought anything yet but I'm eyeing Prodigal+Veritus. From the same developers who made Curse Crackers that was in the Fanatical charity bundle a while ago and I enjoyed playing it.

Thanks for the giveaway. I loved The Witness, and I think I'll be hooked if I try this one as well.

As for the Steam sale, no, not really. I was considering Frostpunk 2 since it's on a decent enough sale, but I just can't get over how bad I thought the demo was before launch. I still want to play it at some point, but I don't think I can justify paying much for it. Can hope for a Humble Choice maybe in the future, although I think it's fairly unlikely. There's a bunch of games I'm interested in playing, but either too new and not on sale, or not released yet.

Are you eying something yourself?

Interesting selection. I know Over the Alps, which I thought was fun to play. Stuck in Time looks interesting, I'll definitely try that out at some point. Rytmos seems cool as well, although I can't really tell if it's completely sandbox, or there's and actual goal. I'll have to check it out on YouTube!

I'm considering picking up Exophobia (or its bundle with Beyond Sunset), personally. It looks really cool.

I picked up A Bird Story because I recently played Finding Paradise and while playing it I noticed that the same boy appears in both of the games so I want to experience the complete story.

If I'm not lucky, hay fever. If I'm lucky, there's still 3 days with an 1% chance they restock RoboCop Rogue City Alex Murphy Edition in IndieGala.
If I'm neither lucky nor unlucky, nothing. This year I've only bought the Safe In Our World bundle, and I plan to get any Cancer charity one too, and Tiltify's OFC. Other than that, unless I think it's a real great chance, I might not get any game along the whole year. That's my intention tho. But I already found RoboCop and while initially I stood up, now I'm miserably waiting for a restock.

I didn't realize IndiGala was having key restocking issues like Humble Bundle has been. That's disappointing. I hope you get your key!

Fanatical tells you in the game or bundle page "this or this other game are low stock or out of stock". They're clear and don't allow you to add an item out of stock to your build your own bundle selection.

HB sells you a bundle and you only discover they're out of stock if you try to reveal the key; by then you've already revealed several keys, so no refund, and wait. In my case it has been once, almost 2 years waiting. They sell you items they can't give you. That should be illegal. They should know when they can't sell a complete bundle anymore. They should know how many HB Choices they can expect to not stop and reveal keys, with some margin, but instead, we users pay for their lazyness and bad practices - even if they give money to charity. I've lost all my trust in HB.

IndieGala's only sin is that they allow you to add items to your cart and when you go to your cart, you get notification(s) that this or/and that item are out of stock and will be removed from your cart after processing it. Compared to HB it's just a nuisance, but it's frustrating when it happens. Specially when it's the first game you decide to buy this year. They've restocked with limited keys a few times during this offer, but days run out and I haven't had luck. It will get in a bundle I'll not buy and I'll never see it this cheap. Yes I'm full of electrons, I'm negative.

I picked up Burnout Paradise Remastered and have already been playing it a lot! I'm enjoying it, but it's still not as good as Burnout 3.

Not sure it's actually part of the Spring Sale, but I noticed today that Trash of the Titans is on sale, and I'm inclined to dive in. Imagine Final Fantasy Tactics except it's animals defending a dumpster so they can eat the trash later. Also, it's got slight rogue elements and a whole lot of purple.
Edit: I shoulda mentioned, it's in early access and hasn't been touched for about 6 months. A little concerning, but not too unusual when it's only got one person working on it.
