I'm having trouble deciding which one has the worse record for abandoned or perpetually "in-development" (read: unfinished) games, Steam Early Access or Kickstarter. I've learned to just keep my money until the game comes out properly, no matter what sort of rewards they offer. For example, I was one of the very first supporters of Star Citizen... and what a shitshow that's been. At this point, the "free" ship I got is about the biggest piece of garbage in the game, if you can even call it a game when it's still in ALPHA after over 10 years. I haven't even logged on in like 4 years, I've pretty much given up on it... which is really too bad, because I had such enormous hopes for it. Chris Roberts founded Origin, was heavily involved in Wing Commander 1, 3, and 4 (not Prophecy, which is probably why it sucked so much it killed the franchise), as well as Privateer which at the time was the absolute best game ever made as far as I was concerned, so his involvement with Star Citizen SHOULD have made it the best game of all time.
