I usually create giveaways with less time so people that enter have better chances , and since this is a dlc only those will be able to enter that have the game, so I hope the best of luck for you.

thanks for the heads up , will do, this is something though that should be fixed , This happens on other websites too , seems the relevant ID gets mixed up, although this is normal for some bundles and packs

Most Bundles and all DLC can be entered by anyone who owns them already. This is a DLC bundle, so even worse :-P

This sadly is caused by steam itself. It does not report ownership of DLC through API as far as I know.
So any site including SG have no reasonable way to check ownership of DLC.
Hell, even manually only way I know of is to add someone to friends and trying to buy that DLC for them from steam store.

Steam gives you access to your full wishlist, library, and other data at store[dot]steampowered[dot]com[slash]dynamicstore[slash]userdata. Some well-maintained sites will at least let you paste this in or sync using it with a script, so that you can track your ownership of removed games, DLC, and packages. It just can't be synced by the server itself.

SG needs reliable data that user can't mess with. To be sure users won't enter giveaways for owned games etc.
Manual paste/sync with local script doesn't meet that criteria.

Obviously it wouldn't be a good replacement for the sync system, but it would be an easy way for users to filter out stuff they already own so they don't enter by mistake.

Theoretically script like that is possible. Every time you add game to hidden your browser sends request:

I think steamdb would list everything you own , maybe SG should try and use steamdb , at least when possible??

yes but the difference is that if SG does it , then 50,000 users would not do it themselves, I know SG does not have to do it even , but doing it saves a lot of people a lot of time

that makes sense , usually these bundles are not what you actually own , I remember I bought The Witcher 3 GOTY directly on steam but in many sites it shows that i only own the base game (standard edition) and expansion pass but not the dlcs , don't know the problem comes from within steam or other websites checking IDs

fortunately both winners did not own any of the containing materials, I personally would not join such bundles , as it wastes a good product.
As a matter of fact I don't own Layers of Fear DLCs , but never joined the Layers of Fear Masterpiece edition because I feel i would be burning a full copy to get a small DLC.
But since SG has not done anything towards this (or maybe can't do , not judging SG here) people can decide for themselves and the giveaway creator should decide whether they would redraw a winner if one has some of the content.
