About that, I don't think I've seen anyone get a working Wasteland Angel key from gameplay giveaway. A member of indiegala staff once mentioned that some of the older keys were susceptible to being bruteforced, but I don't know how true that is. Either way some keys you win there are dupes, like Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines and Commandos 2 seem to only rarely work.
And an addendum to your points:
If you have the game and the key is already used, you still get an "already in your library" message.
I can't be bothered to deal with Indiegala Support right now, wanted to this one just quickly to get rid of the key.
So I just bought a new copy of Wasteland Angel from Humble Store for you.
