I'm anxious to get to level 8 (this giveaway will do it!), but I didn't want to make this public, and I don't want to make anymore whitelist giveaways until I remove a couple people. I don't want to remove anyone until my current WL giveaways end, so that's why I'm doing these invite-only gibs.
And you're right, giveaways like this are kind of a pain. Especially because I was foolish and only gave myself 2 hours! But I got lucky and got 7 entrants, so phew.

I've made the mistake of whitelisting people who entered almost every one of my giveaways just for the +1. It becomes obvious after a while. I got rid of the most obnoxious ones, but there might be a few stragglers who are more subtle... it's a always a work in progress.
