Nice, old school top down shooter

I really like this game. It has a bunch of good things in my book. However, the average at best graphics, the hard to get controls, and the general lack of eye candy might disappoint your average player. But if you like old school shooters and don't mind unusual controls, then give this game a shot.

Pros:
Hard shmup gameplay
Old school feel
Weapon unlocks, a couple of different main weapons, secondaries, and extras
The game taunts you when you quit

Cons:
Average at best graphics
Ugly menus and interface
Less than interesting music
Difficulty and controls(1) that might not suit everyone

It should also be noted this game runs in Linux.

(1) The gameplay doesn't have a steep learning curve. The controls are basically wasd+mouse and the camera rotates with your hovertank, which might be confusing but you can turn that off. I don't mean the controls are necessarily hard to learn, but they are different than other games.
