I rather you not thank me for the giveaway, but rather spark a conversation in the comments. That way I get to know you and you get to know me.
So, without further ado...

🎉Hello and welcome to the giveaway🎉
What game had a better DLC than the base game? 🤔
Add me on Steam, but please let me know who you are and where you came from. I get requests from multiple sources so it can get confusing sometimes.
Check my Curator Page and if you like it, follow it. I would appreciate it. I write honest reviews for games I enjoy, so if you want an in-depth opinion of games, there’s no other place to be than there. They are fully written in English and fully detailed (at least the newer reviews). Feel free to check them out.
For a larger audience, I will be doing Private Giveaways where your chances to win there increase.
Lastly, if you enjoy gaming and want to check our YouTube Channel, feel free to check it out and if you like the content, give us a subscribe. We post there gaming content of all sorts, and if we reach our next milestone of 500 Subscribers, I plan on doing another big giveaway of games I 100% recommend and played for countless of hours.
Games enlisted on the YouTube giveaway are one of my personal favourite games of all time and I will slowly give them away as we reach milestones.

I know what you mean. Here's a good example: The Shivering Isles - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
It changed the whole vibe of the game that II personally got impressed with it.

well i can think of a lot of games that fit this, for example XCOM EW was a massive game changer same with XCOM 2 WOTC both changed the game completely (for the better in almost any aspect) ^_^

That one is spot on a great example!

Borderlands 2 because of Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep.

I've heard about it, I'm curious to find out what's in store for me when I play it.

A hard one but i'll have to go with witcher 3 blood and wine DLC.
I love both quite a lot but the blood and wine map is just so fantastical that sparks a rather nostalgic emotion? Hard to explain, but it's sort of exactly how you imagined what a fantasty world would be like as a kid. (- most of the dark bits of course)
(Oh yeah and i actually own this DLC, accidentally entered but have just now un-entered, forgot to check as sometimes dlc will still come up in giveaways of dlc you already own)

Since I haven't played the Witcher series I'd like to see how that DLC is too.
Don't worry, thanks for passing by! It happens to me too. 😅

Taken King for Destiny and Forsaken for Destiny 2... That's what I would've said, if they didn't plan to literally cut paid content from the game in February of 2022, again. Bungle be Bungle, I guess.

I see, I have not played Destiny 2 really, didn't expect a MP game, but nice to know. 😀

Civilization IV - Beyond the Sword, actually Colonization beats main game as well. There are too many addition functions in dlcs here which makes base game boring.

+1 to Civ but I'll go with Civ 5. The changed diplomacy in frontier's pass was pretty interesting.

Gotta love when developers makes DLC's interesting.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series OMG DUDE !!
i love Season One :D

I'm happy to have that one, but didn't play the Definitive edition. Looking forward for that!

Hard question, most that I think of are actually stand alone expansions or game re-releases. Things like Vice City over GTA3.
Street Fighter 4 had later version with new mechanics that really helped re-balance some characters, Civilization 4 and 5 had some new mechanics introduced with DLCs that helped with the flow of the game. Do Doom wads count? Some of those are awesome!

Yes, I didn't know they were actual DLC's but you're right, I liked Vice City a lot more than GTA 3.
I don't know, a Doom player may need to answer that. 😋

Though one, but I guess I'll go with Old World Blues, from Fallout: New Vegas. And that's saying a lot, because the base game is amazing in on itself. But Old World Blues just takes the cake. It is fun, well written and very creative.
Thank you for the giveaway and for your question!

Funny enough I didn't play New Vegas, so I look forward to check that DLC out.

Check the winner, I can enter but I have this one

I have checked, but it's difficult to tell if the winner has a DLC or not, any idea how I can do that?
Comment has been collapsed.
I think you can request a screenshot from the winner's library (for BioShock Infinite dlc)

I'm very happy that you got to win the Season Pass. I think revisiting the game is going to be a blast! Feel free to contact me by Steam or through this giveaway if you enjoy the game. 🥰

If we're strictly discussing DLCs without including expansions, then as Ad4m mentioned, the Borderland games tend to have more effort (at least in terms of level design) put into their DLC content (well, excepting where they half-ass things terribly, as with their Pre-Sequel preorder bonus content).
If we're including expansions, I've heard the GTAIV standalone expansions were much better than the base game (in all of narrative, gameplay, and polish), and Starcraft's Brood Wars expansion comes to mind as a classic example of an expansion that was considered very well by fans, to the point of being considered more highly (in terms of multiplayer gameplay balance or campaign engagement) than the base game by many.
We could also be a bit more roundabout with it, and note that many 4X games are viewed fairly poorly without their DLCs and/or expansions- though in that case, it's less that the DLCs and expansions are inherently better, and more the fact that they (in sum) massively improve a shallow, rushed, or otherwise lacking base game.
It's an interesting question, though, so I'll need to keep it in mind for future DLCs. :)

Questions offer us answers we sometimes didn't know we know. This is why I ask such silly questions sometimes. Because your answer or someone else's answers helps all of us discover new games or DLC's in this case we'd not look to appreciate.
