Thanks! Pretty awesome thing from these guys: if you own the game on CD, you can only play SP with the CD in (it was pretty normal back then), but if you start it without having the CD, you can access only MP, which means that you have to buy only one copy if you want to play it with your family.
Also, since you can use the same hero and companions in all the game modes (campaign, skirmish, MP), you can pretty much "cheat" and level your hero / get gear by killing low level units in custom skirmish maps (don't get an affiliated faction, otherwise the difficulty will raise in campaign). It was cooler if using the hero in other game modes was possible only after you finished the campaign.
I last played the game maybe about 10 years ago and I think it's pretty enjoyable even today, but at least on the CD version, there was a terrible bug that didn't let you progress on the north of the map after unlocking the dragon (similar to the water quest bug in Sacred), reason why I never was able to finish the campaign. I hope it is fixed now!
Other than that, it's a pretty generic RTS, but hero and companions progression is a really nice touch.

PS: I hope I can enter for it if I already own in on CD.
