Ye if you buy from some random guy they may be. But you know you could simply not use any community offers. You can hide them. There are still great deals even outside those.
I sincerely believe that only people who got scammed on those sites used community offers. Which is just stupid to me. It's like buying something from someone on ebay with no history....ofc guy could be a scammer and instead of iphone send you a brick.

Yea, had quiet a few games that got removed from Steam after a week or two because of these reasons. Then again they are far cheaper so I understand why people buy there.
