Description

humble bundle key, good luck~!

I think I bought this game when it was first released on Steam. I bought it on CD a loooong time ago, but a couple of aggravating bugs (particularly one that made one of my Companions angry with me) made me stop playing it, and they never released a patch fixing them.

I wish they made a fan-patch like they did for Temple of Elemental Evil and Fallout 2.

Were you ever able to complete this game?

i bought it on GOG and had a hard time getting it to run, then purchased it on Steam and used a fan patch found in the steam forums to get it going. it ran with no issues for me to get to the end game at that time, so you might be able to get it to work now?

i've finished the game multiple times over the years, lol. first copy was purchased as a birthday gift to me when i was twelve, and i just kept rebuying it every time i lost the disc. thrice physical, twice digital, and a few copies here and there for gifts.

You seem to love Acanum as much as I love Wasteland! I played the original game to completion on my C64 about 5 times or so. I also played the PC version to completion once (I hated the PC speaker sound that you couldn't turn off!). I got the special version that game with Wasteland 2 (another game I love!), but only browsed it. I've been playing Wasteland Remastered recently, and am finding it to be quite enjoyable.

(I also love the Fallout series!!!)

Thank you for letting me know that there is a fan patch for it. I'll have to check it out for sure, as I really did enjoy the game from what I played of it.

If you like RPGs, you should check out Temple of Elemental Evil. However, ONLY play it with the Circle of 8 fan-patches. They game is pretty much unplayable without it, and they also added content to it (I'm not sure if they just restored content that was in the game, but just inaccessible, or if they created the new quests themselves)!

Since you seem to enjoy RPGs as much as I do, I have added you to my Whitelist. Well, that, and you made some really nice Cake Day giveaways. :)

google search spat this out at me and i THINK this is what i used cos the site looks v familiar, tho it's been a couple years: http://terra-arcanum.com/drog/uap.html

i have wasteland but haven't had time to try it yet! i'll knock it up a few places on my to-play list tho, since you like Arcanum ;D

now temple of Elemental Evil is one i couldn't play back in the day cos i kept hitting game-breaking bugs. i'll have to nab it on GOG and do that patch you name to try it again, since all i remember when i was 13 was getting SO FRUSTRATED at... something. don't even remember the details now.

whitelisted you back! always nice to talk to someone who likes enjoys the classics <3

Thanks for the link to the patch! :)

Be aware that the original PC game hasn't aged very gracefully! I would play the version that came with Wasteland 2 (or the C64 version!). Or even the Remastered version! LOL!

Oh, yeah! The bugs in that game were horrible! How they could release a game in such a crappy state boggles the mind! Thank goodness for fan-patches!

Do you remember the bugs in Pool of Radiance 2: Ruins of Myth Drannor? They were really bad too! And if you installed the game in a different path than what the auto-installer chose, it would uninstall your HD when you installed the game! Thankfully I always install games to the regular path, and by the time I played it, they had a patch that fixed that! Apparently, MTG: Arena had something just like that!

Thank you. I appreciate that. :)

Looked up Pool of Radiance 2 cos the name didn't sound familiar, but the box art sure does look like something i've seen before. i think i missed playing that one tho, which is p good cos holy crap it would uninstall the harddrive???? what kind of coding mess would the devs have to do to get that to happen?!
