However, I am fairly certain that where ever I did buy it, it did state it was the GOTY. But you are saying there's like, different versions maybe?
I think you're probably fine, judging by your previous giveaways it seems like you don't giveaway bundle stuff, so you probably did buy the GOTY version.
There was a HB's bundle before where you'd get Borderlands with a couple of DLC's. Some people thought the bundle contained all DLC's so they made the giveaway for "Borderlands GOTY" but considering the bundle didn't contain all DLC's from GOTY version those giveaways were invalid.
Ahh I see. I just did a quick search through my email and checked 3 different bundle sites I could find emails from, none of which revealed that I had bought it from them. It's still a mystery though, but so far it looks like it was not part of a bundle.

Key you say? Is it the one from humble bundle?
If it is then you can't give it away as "Game of the Year" edition because the one in the bundle didn't have all DLC's that GOTY edition has.
