Portal 2 is a genious game, it has (at the time of writing this) 165257 reviews on Steam, where an overwhelming 98% are positive, and got a metascore of 95 on Metacritic. It has been given awards for many things, some of them being:

• "Ultimate Game Of The Year 2011" at the Golden Joystick Awards
• "Top Video Game of 2011" at Gamasutra, IGN, Eurogamer, Kotaku, the Associated Press, and The Mirror
• "Best PC Game", "Best Male Performance" for Stephen Merchant, "Best Female Performance" for Ellen McLain, "Best Downloadable Content", and "Best Multiplayer Game" at Spike Video Game Awards
• "Best Game", "Best Story" and "Best Design" at BAFTA Game Awards
• "Outstanding Achievement in Connectivity", "Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition", and "Outstanding Character Performance" for Wheatley, at D.I.C.E. Awards

If you already own Portal 2, I can recommend the free community made mod called Portal Stories: Mel, which is fully equipped with voicelines, translations(text only), custom music, Steam achievements, and lots of new custom assets. It's a really well made mod, and it almost feels like an official expansion of the game! :-)
