I swear to god, it's like they made a script to spam 'thanks' on entering...

that's what i think every fucking time, I'm not here to give them a nice Comment-Entry rate...

or instead of the comment entry, i've been educated to say thanks when someone give me somethings. If you like being impolite, that's your way, but for me, telling thanks is being polite toward the creator. I don't usually say thanks if he doesn't want one tough.

"[...]If you like being impolite[...]"
Is this the part where I'm supposed to be shamed by your superior upbringing?
You know what, fine! You have conerted me from my ruffian ways! From now on, whenever I enter a giveaway, I'll post not just "thanks!", but "thanksthanks!" Because that's doubleplusgood! Then, led by my shining example, people will post "thanksthanksthanks", and "thanksthanksthanksthanks", and before you know it, the comment sections will be nothing but a sea of thanks, streching as far as the modem can reach! Oh, won't the world envy us on how polite and well behaved we are?
Call it politeness all you want, my dictionary keeps reverting to 'hypocrite'.

In general, less than one tenth of entrants leave a comment and not all of them are using scripts. That means over 90% do not say anything. I see no point in insulting those that desire to show some gratitude for the gifter. Thanks for world of kings.

That's the point: it's not gratitude. It's politeness.
And when you con't even be arsed to read the description before posting, it's not even that.

I will not consider either of them as a negative thing. Skipping the description is bad and I would hope people would not do it often. Perhaps it could be suggested that an option to disable comments in a giveaway could be added for those who desire solitude and silence in their giveaways?

I'm certain that they exist, actually. :(
(Witnessed links for them, and also the posts occasionally look really stupid when the script auto-copy/pastes the game title in.)
For that reason, I usually only use part of the gifter's name when I post a thanks -- if I were to say thanks here, it'd be "Thank you, Coon!" rather than "Thank you, TheCoon!"
Thank you, TheCoon for the chance at winning Crusader Kings II Collection!
:P :D

I entered, then realized I already have the base game and the "collection" just have extra songs. Entry removed to give others a better chance. Hope the winner enjoy the game. :)

If u like Crusader Kings u should wait on 4th Europa Universalis. Nothing is better than the main series ^^ My dream is to see options of 3rd part in interface (maybe modified but in 2D) of EU2. However number IV looks really interesting :).

Okay, here a tip: choose an Irish lord for your first character. Ireland is nice and friendly (utill you kill/assassinate them all to become King). If you manage to become king, you can make your next character anywhere. Spain is difficult and becoming Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire is hard too.
