Years ago, a kind gent at GOG gifted me this game because he said no gamer should ever not experience Darklands. And unicorn's breath, he was right. I didn't care if the graphics looked like shredded mozarella. The visuals were charming, the combat (for me at least) was nail biting, and the writing brought alive a world of robber knights, cultists, kobolds and freakishly huge spiders in 15th century Germany. Yes! Start plundering your brain for German names for your party members, everyone.

I'd never even heard of this game before this giveaway but I entered and put it on my wishlist now. So thank you for that lovely description.
As a lover of old RPGs (and RPGs in general) I'm not sure how this one has gone unnoticed but it seems like a must play!

I had this on CD many, many years ago, but never got a chance to play it! It looked really good, and seemed to be an RPG that had a lot of content to it!

Checked Tremor for the game after reading your description, found it for 99 coins, got it straight away. If I will ever play this dated looking thing I can't promise...

Such a wonderful game, good giveaway. I bought this in the recent GOG sale, so I'm not entering. I owned this when I was a kid, I think I got it at a Half price books where they used to sell old games. It's always held a special place in my heart because of its complexity and unique atmosphere
