So here is my personal conclusion to the Guessing Game:
This is just a small token of thanks to the people (+2) who helped me with the Guessing Game which took an even better ending than I expected (due to the generousity of the first place user and of course the creator) after I failed miserably with my own guess. Well, both games are bundled; one pretty often the other recently so there is a chance you have both already. Sorry if there is nothing here for you
The first one is an adventure game with a really good soundtrack and atmosphere. If you wish for more information you can read this totally random review.
Other than that I will add my wonderful "work sheet". The red marked area are the left numbers for the final guess. Together with hints 3-5 I was able to reduce it to the two most likely possibilites. Most of you should find themselves on this paper. If you don't want that other people know you are nice person tell me and I'll black you in the image.

It is probably possible to do this worksheet less messy. And the madness is a character trait ....
And the second part is not right. Every information was helpful since it helped to decide who I should ask next. And at the moment of asking I didn't know the final value. Also if you would have answered: Nope, don't care I would probably have lost motivation.

I'm happy I was able to help even if only slightly. Based on your notes, it looks like one of my stats was a least upper bound, which is nice. I never got around to working on the puzzle myself. Were you and revilheart working with the same dataset?
In any case, congratulations on narrowing down the choices and getting so close to the correct answer!

Well, as much as it hurts my pride but revilheart used a more intelligent method to gather the majority of data. He looked at the entries (and comments) of the actual SGTool game. All those people have by definition passed the check which provides a lot of information. I feel somehow dumb that this never came to my mind O.o
So in conclusion: No, we used mostly different datasets. I used a set by asking a limited amount of people while revilheart mainly used the set provided in the giveaway. I don't know if his final set had a more narrow margin but together with the hints we reached at least the same conclusion. As for the 36/38 problematic nobody solved it at that point of time.
