Given no criteria, I'll go with a bit of personal bias and suggest "Mugen Souls." Gives a fair bit of a Disgaea vibe, even with the different, more Neptunia-esque battle system, while also seemingly not getting quite the same level of attention as either Disgaea or Neptunia. Hopefully that's in line with what you're looking for. Thanks for the giveaway, either way.

I suggest Planetarian. It's a small Kinetic Novel by Key, famous for their later CLANNAD and stuff. It's an underappreciated gem, and one of my favorite VNs to this day.

I've got no idea what to suggest... I've finished very few games lately.
