Description

The taking seven days pisses me off more than anything esepcially when we can see they've been online less than7 days ago - well not saying thanks ranks up there pretty high too :-p Seriously, do these winner that don't say thanks think these GA's come out of our a**es?

After I first joined, I was afraid that if I said thanks it would be more bothersome so I didn't at first.

But yeah, the 7+ day activation ... at least make a comment and say "thanks, I can't activate until later but I will" so I know there won't be a problem.

I'm sure some of those use bots and only check rarely, thus appear online more than they actually am...

hm, not necessarily, but those can be filtered nicely with an SGT rule

I am gradually being convinced to use SGT despite some negative experiences with GA's using the tool. I mean those that exclude me...my gifting ratio is got to be the most fair example of any gifter here - yes, I moved to a lot of "private" GA's - hey read the forum and benefit - and yes, I was an active "group" participant previously and got turned off to public GA's very early on - horrible experience!. But really some of the SGT users decide to penalize major gifters for not conforming to whatever the eff their personal motto is - private GA;s - you suck! or too many group GA's - bite me!. Sigh, there's got to be some measure of civility. I demand SGT that allows me to filter jerks that don't say thank-you to the people that gifted them...oh right, we have blacklists for that. :-p

usually the 'strictest' rules I see is going against too many group GAs, which I'm fine with as some really only make 90+% for small groups but take a lot from e.g. publics. A few extreme rule cases shouldn't overshadow the benefits of keeping rule breakers out and also for example some ratio filtering.

Personally I'm fairing well recently with high level public. Entry numbers are manageable so I can exclude those who "don't fit" within a reasonable effort.

Oh and don't worry too much about those GAs that don't let you in, as I have you on my whitelist so you'll get some extra chance ;-)

I am gradually increasing my whitelist - hopefully to a level where I can reasonably expect to do WL only GA's with an expectation of good interest. :-) you're on mine too! Ultimately I don't enter a lot of GA's anyway so I expect my "wins" to be less than expected but when dratted leechers win without even so much as TY... how hard are 2 letters??- yeah, sigh.
