I wonder how many totally not pointless DLCs Tropico 6 will have after seeing Tropico 5's and 4's

I know right ;) Back in my day cough Tropico 1, 2, and 3 didn't need DLCs to feel complete but hey! hahaha still good games, hampered by this DLC nonsense so I'm happy to give them out for free lol. Trop 3 will always be my favorite (though I think it had one or two DLC I can't remember)

I wished I played Tropico 1, 2, 3 before 4 because now it feels like it won't be as fun..
Also lol I'm not against DLCs in general but having tons of DLCs up for 4 bucks with content that can be combined in 1-3 DLCs is kinda annoying and greedy imo
At least back in the olden days of The Sims 2, DLCs felt more like they are bringing a new experience or maybe it's just nostalgia 🤔

I was lucky enough to play Tropico 3 when it first came out. Yeah it's a little dated and they've done QOL fixes in the new series but here's a secret: they're basically all the exact same game. I recommend giving 3 a try honestly if you enjoy a more relaxed city builder atmosphere instead of constant missions.
An OG Sims 2 fan!! I've played every Sims for hundreds of hours but Sims 2 I must have thousands :D It truly is the pinnacle of the series and an example of good quality DLC. Sims 4 nowadays? Hell no, I stopped playing it and I never thought I'd say that about a Sims game. It's no longer worth my time or money. It's not nostalgia, it's the truth. Sims 3 ran like shi* but at least their DLC had a lot of (albeit broken and messy) content for your money.
WL for mentioning my secret weakness xD It's a pleasure

Haha I agree with them being copies of each other, which is why I feel like playing anything earlier than 4 would be redundant but one thing that draws me to 3 is that I wanna know Juanito's story, and how did it come to the point that there's a "Kill Juanito" achievement in 4 lol
Glad an OG Sims-head agrees!
I loved Sims 1, and Sims 2 felt like a great step forward from it, then you see all its DLCs and it was just a blast to sink hours into.
Sims 3 didn't feel as much of a step forward from Sims 2 but yeah it was good enough as you said till they totally stopped trying with Sims 4 lol
Thanks! Whitelisted you back!
Wasn't expecting me whining about DLCs would snowball to this lol but glad it did!

LOL the Juanito thing I think is kind of a meme because he irritated people with his announcements in 3 sometimes hahaha. I definitely agree, it's funny! But a pleasure to meet you! Thanks very much!
