Then a well-expected but unexpected occasion came, I applied for it and it went unexpectedly well. So I resigned.
Now I work in the national company. I think the normal salary is a little lower, but we have more rights, more certainty for the future, and I work 5 minutes from home! What else could I ask for? ...a girlfriend maybe? :D
That sounds like a great change, even with a slightly lower salary. Nice! And working 5 minutes from home is amazing!
Not much going on here, I get to travel soon which is nice (going to Maine). I am concerned about the resurgence of COVID... but I'm still excited. I miss traveling.
It's a great change indeed, but I miss my old colleagues so much. The ambience, the mood that was there... I won't find it again here. People who actually put some effort in their job. Here, instead, people only care about working as less as possible, it isn't stimulating anymore.
Oh, covid. I'm fed up with it. I travel for work, but it's a home-train-hotel-train-home thing. It's been over a year since my last holiday, I'm so tired.
I'm sorry you couldn't travel. But I'm here with my big bucket of popcorn watching how those vaccines, while preventing most symptoms, don't prevent contagion as people expected. And they'll lock us in our homes again. Oh well, who will live, will see, I guess.
