I've played all of them except The turing test, and i guess there's no reason to try No man's sky as i expect nothing from it from all the negative feedback :P
I think the feedback is mostly due to technical issues (game not running on a lot of computers, including mine ^-^"). But it seems pretty cool other than that? idk. You can always get a refund if there's a problem, I guess.
Nah, it's because a ton of stuff was promised but not even remotely delivered. Like Peter Molyneux's games, but with even more hype and disappointment.
I'm not sure how closely any of my recommendations meet your likes, but here are some which vaguely fit the space theme and which I've personally played in the past few years and enjoyed:

Space: Freelancer, Anachronox, Independence War, Unreal II: The Awakening, Advent Rising, X series, Galaxy on Fire 1-2
Underwater: Abzû, Bioshock 1 & 2, Soma,...

Hmm i heard it was about expectations were not met AT ALL.
misleading gameplay and content,that weren't in the game or half arsed.
Also not only on PC but Playstation.
