I wanna share this FE Engage Intro Trailer Thing with the 4Kids Yu-Gi-Oh! Intro music with you, but you'll probs have to wait another week before you will look at it, just in case it risks spoilers, haha.
Sooo. Sage of Khadein. Love the aesthetics honestly, though I was surprised how, uh, sparse Linde's version is clothed, lol. I was happy to get 5-Star Byleth until I realized he's the demote of the banner, so my 5-Star luck was wasted. Especially since I got 2 or 3 more, one of which had the better IVs, lol. And then Brave Marth broke my pity streak. For some reason, the CYL5s do that to me a lot? And I got a Nah from this banner and the Arena ticket, lol. Of course right after I got done pimping mine.
Aaaand. Repeat hall of forms eh? I don't need anyone from there just yet so I am not sure if I will be using any formas, though with good abilities they are tempting enough, especially when one is lacking in fodder.
Oh also, I finally got my first Awakening Christmas unit from that banner. It was Tharja. Only then did it occur to me that all of them are armor units, which is ironic given her outfit. And I got NY Hrid, which I am also happy for. And I was sinking some orbs into the ticket repeat banner until I realized it has no spark. What a waste. And for some reason I thought I still needed NY Plumeria (maybe cause a year or two ago I was so upset about not getting her on her banner), but nope, it's the old, standard one that I lack, so there wasn't much of a point wasting orbs for a spark that doesn't even exist lol.
Anyways that's about what I currently remember I guess.

Well in all fairness, I don't think Linde was ever wearing a whole lot. Isn't Khadein a desert-y area? checks facts Yep, desert city. Not that I collect Heroes for their lack of clothing. My main aim for this banner is Nino, she's adorable, and since she and the duo are both red, there is a slightly higher chance for something good~! Nothing so far though, aside from our dedicated four star professor.
Repeat Hall of Forms is something I pay zero attention to. I do the free summon and that's it. Besides, I already have these four heroes, so there really is not much of a point for me to bother :P
Oh my my, that's not good! That banner has actually blessed me one-and-a-half times already, so I doubt anything else will fall out. I got a Kaden and Reginn (which I already had) from there. Only need Fafnir and Velouria now. Still have quite a few tickets to spend there, so.. who knows! But I'm not gonna bother too much, as there is the new New Year banner and the Khadein banner. I'm only going to spend some more orbs on the newest Christmas banner on the day it goes away. Too high a risk that there's no reds..

While I wait for Engage to arrive (no idea if it will be on time, shipping here isn't as punctual as I'm used to lol) I've been playing more Three Hopes. Remember our discussion about L!Shez being a Dagger user? Yeah there's attacks like that lmao. (Also I forgot how fun this game is, I play it with my niece a lot. Double the fun! She's halfways decent, and the only thing sometimes keeping us from S-Rank is that she gets a little more damage than permitted, but that ain't stopping us from replaying the mission to hit the best rank. lol. She really likes playing Edelgard and f!Byleth - as we are currently doing the Scarlet Blaze Route - and Wyvern Rider/Lord is her fav class.)
In other news, B!Marth cucked me first on the Khadein Banner and now on the engage banner. I'm pretty close to being able to +10 him, should I so choose, solely because he keeps popping in. How dare. (I actually don't have a single unit +10 yet because I prefer keeping their manuals to inherit good skills with other units, but there's a few where I'd get to +7ish or so if I wanted. I noticed with other players that the golden frame gets more shiny when they are +10 tho.)

Since we got five orbs from the BHB today (or I did, I save the quest till the day it ends) I wanted to keep the story ones for tomorrow and I only got one conversation in the Forging Bonds with him yet :P But, speaking of Engage, what do you think of the crossover event with Heroes for that game? Rings! :D
Funny enough I got an e-mail today saying that it should arrive for me... tomorrow? That's ehm.. two days too early :P Not that I will play it right away, but hey! Fun~! As for your fun with Three Hopes, that reminds me a little of when my brother and I played Hyrule Warriors on WiiU. Lot of fun, try not to get too much damage in and claim that gold rank! But then he got his girlfriend to move in with him, they moved half-way across the country and never visits on his own anymore.. Also my WiiU broke down and I had to replace it and transfer all data... You know.. things!

So... I was wondering why I didn't get any shipping notifications but I figured it might've been because I purchased as a guest instead of making an account. Usually I don't make an account anywhere until the second time I purchase.
About an hour ago I got an email that preorder volume outweighed available stock and that they're trying to fulfill orders. They expect to get it done in 4 weeks... I am crushed. For one, I ordered in September. 4 months ago is ample time to realize you have X orders but only Y copies. For another, they already have my money. Which I mean I will get back if it falls through, but that also means I don't have the money on hand to try and order somewhere else in the meantime.
I even preordered DLC because I was so hyped for it. I never preorder DLC, I usually even wait till it goes on sale or something. In both cases I could use the money on plenty of other things in the meantime. I'm pissed and disappointed, it has been an overall stressful week. I've also been unable to use the steam client the past 24h, and while I am not alone with that, those of us who are locked out appear to be a minority. So no taking comfort in my steam library in the meantime.
That's not to say there are no switch alternatives I could play but... those two things coupled with how this entire week went, hell coupled with how everything went since the beginning of September...
I'm just really tired of everything right now. First world problems as they may be. Just so tired. Doneski. Sorry for rambling. It's not the end of the world but it does feel oddly misery-centric this week. And I just want something really nice to happen to make up for it.

I feel your pain, ma'am. Yes it's a first world problem, but that doesn't make it any less annoying and unfortunate. Things should just work the way they are supposed to, especially when this amount of money is involved. I don't know if you got a special edition or just the game, but it's still a lot of money that you cannot spend elsewhere in the meantime.. I hope it will all get sorted out soon, sooner than 4 weeks. It is indeed ridiculous that they could not have seen this coming sooner.
It appears my game should arrive sometime tomorrow between late afternoon and early evening.. It had its own share or problems due to the store that's shipping it already signing the package on before actually sending it out, making the postal service think they were going to deliver it on Wednesday.. So a bit worrisome... Of course it's not nearly as problematic as your own situation. I hope you'll find a fun Hero on your doorstep one of these days, to repay you for your trouble :)
Don't forget to register your game once it does come in, so you can give your Alear an actual Fólkvangr! :D
EDIT: Only three days remain before the last special banner of 2022 leaves and I still haven't summoned any of the focus heroes... I really hope my luck turns around just enough to grant me Ash..

I am enjoying Engage, yes! It's a fun game. Great music! I'm not going very fast however. I keep getting distracted by Skirmishes.. I'm on chapter 13 now and my main team is about twice as strong as they should be for the levels.. so that's a great time to use less powerful heroes! :D

I keep getting distracted by skirmishes too. But I started to run into a problem with that. Lack of masterseals. I got a bunch of units capped at level 20 now lol. I am before chapt 16 but I keep idling cause I'm not keep on, uh, boat maps lol. Also I really hope they do an NG+ at one point, gurl can dream. Since the DLC added Somniel stuff maybe it's possible.
Oh also, so I came across a datamine leak so the new DLC emblems didn't surprise me per se (though for a certain sibling emblem, why her, and why her on her own when for the other route split game we get 3-in-one lol), but it's still different to see the official news, haha.
Oh also, I've been somewhat lucky with the DoD banner? I got Takumi and Leo in under 20 summons, I think. And from while back, Fomortiis literally is a beast. I managed to earn some gold accessories from maps I was stuck before after rotating him into my team. My current experimental gang is NY!Askr, Fomortiis, NY!Ash and of course Fellguard.

I just used a couple of Second Seals on level 20 units to reclass them as the same class to give them more training options. It does help! Currently at chapter 15, but I have Byleth's trial (and Camilla's trial) to do still as well and a few busier days ahead so I might just do more skirmishes instead :P
(Because boobs, duh. Everyone wants their face to be Corrin's, buried in those pillows... Everyone but me, naturally). I'm interested in Veronica honestly. It's nice that there's an actual Heroes connection for a change (aside from the rings and weapons one can get from linking their game).
Four heroes I don't have. I had zero luck on the new years banner, I had absolutely nobody (not even Ash
:( ). And Fomortiis escaped me too. But on the last day of that banner (and the Khadein banner), I did get another Reginn... Oh and an Azelle and Linde/Sarah duo from the Khadein banner... in the same pull, alongside a four-star-special Nah I already had :P And when I thought that was all, the day after (which was yesterday at the time of writing) I got an Eitri for a ticket! So I guess all my luck as been used up again XD
But back to DoD, nothing there for me yet. The duo is cute again.. Stop making cute duos!! Duos are hardest to summon, I bet.. Oh and Hatari is ending tomorrow and I have nothing of that banner either... Grrrr....

I've been wondering about Second Seals, I mean reclassing to Thief is also always an option, but I was worried about the internal level thing slowing down their level ups later. Unless I missunderstood. but from what I gather it is recommended to promote ASAP because a Level 10 base going advanced will grow faster than a level 20 that goes advanced (plus better stat growths in the new classes). I mean assuming what I heard is true.
I'm surprised, but not in a bad way, that FEH is part of the canon Emblems now. But like. Warriors getting shafted, again? XD
Admittedly I have not proceeded in the story yet, work's been busy and then some, and I wondered about restarting because I gave most folks the Dual Assist plus ability before realizing it ONLY works on backup units. So that's 1k SP wasted and they're not that easy to farm just yet. Might as well Canter everyone while I have Sigurd in the first chapters and then we'll see. OR reclass everyone to Hero etc for that chain attack XD
Also this would be where I'd link you some of my fav Engage compilations but I'm not sure you're into that. I've always liked Soren but damn he's killing it left and right with his lines, lol. And Ike being Ike. And everyone being everyone, really. I'm having such a good time with the conversations.
And I like how certain Emblems get Emblem support boost, shame not all of them get changed animations though. Byleth kicking ass with the 3 Lords together was amazing to watch. Also made me wonder though, would it make sense to only play a paralogue when one has the appropriate emblem in possession at the time? E.g. don't do Hector, Lyn, and Camilla before you lose everything in 10/11? Get Tiki before you lose everything? I mean currently it happened to be so, as wave 2 came out after I went past that part, but I wonder if you'd miss out on the emblem convos if you challenge the Bracelet maps without the Ring counterpart. Also, who is Veronica gonna sync with, if anyone XD

So... I've been pining for DoD!Alfonse for a while as you know, but his banner doesn't have a spark, so I dunno if I wanna plunge. I've skipped the remix banners since I got what I needed from there before they sprung. Still lacking DoD!Hana but not planning to keep going with that banner right now. I guess I should be a bit more economic with my orbs and pay attention to what banners come out when. I did see we're getting Asc!Elincia soon.
But! I did get Academy!Dimitri from the B-ticket for the Arena. I did, in fact, not have him yet. Seems a bit ironic to get him last of all the Dimis but here we are, Dimi collection complete. You should see my Engage Cards, Dimi love all the way. Might be a bit cringy lmao.

I don't really see that issue. I have used Second Seals in the stead of Master Seals as they were more readily available, reclassing some of my units to what they already where, making them stronger, so that they eventually can promote. What I don't understand is why class specific skills don't carry over when reclassing advanced units...

Really? That skill only works when you're a backup user? But that doesn't make sense. After all, Alear is not a backup unit, yet she jumps in while carrying Lucina's ring.. That is strange. Oh well, I just spend SP on stat boosts :P
Conversations are a lot of fun indeed. Definitely better support than Fates had. Even the simple Bond conversations have some depth and aren't just exchanges of the same lines over and over.
Veronica must have a chat with Lady Anna, duh :P But I don't really know, to be honest.. I didn't have Byleth when picking up the Edelgard bracelet, so I didn't see anything there, nor did I have Mar-Mar when doing Tiki, but I deliberately waited with getting Camilla until after I got Corrin. Oh and make sure they fight along, of course!
(Nooo, Lilith must remain Lilith! ... What? I named it Lilith because Sommy is a weird name and the colours reminded me of the Astral Dragon)
If you want to trade a Gustaf for an Alfonse, I might have one for you :P I still don't have any DoD heroes of this year, also because I was spending orbs on the Hatari, Plegian and Engage celebration banners. Got nothing from any of them. So I picked (ooh-ooh) witchy Corrin for my free hero. Lots of bronze these days. I don't deserve better (even after buying the customisation pack).
I got a Sonya for that, which is also fun~! Dimitri is.. alright I guess? Oh and.. ehm.. we might get a free Fomortiis with that Hero Rises voting gauntlet. I was banking on the bikini babes, but that demon king might ruin those chances.. Not that I don't want him but... costumes! >: |

Hmmm I suppose there is still much to learn/understand about the Engage class system. My Sommie is called Som Neil because it sorta sounds like Somniel and I like doing dumb stuff XD Still secretly hoping for a transformation for him... You know how the tutorial said something special might happen if you max affection? But I'm pretty sure the whole following me around and assisting happened before I maxed it. So now I feel let down still over nothing happening. Was also hoping there'd be more costume options for him but I suppose not. (And why does the scarf of the sommie costume not match the colour we picked for him, rood.)
Also Tiki best bracelet because that's the only way to turn Alear into an ACTUAL DRAGON. Though this might change with the Xenologue DLC? We shall see. God I love the fell dragon design for Sombron (his humanoid form is kinda iffy tho lol). Why can neither Alear nor Veyle transform like plssss. (I don't have a problem, shut!)
I do think Witchy Corrin was my freebie pick, lemme check. Naw actually why bother but yes, I did pick her., at least I'm sure she was a choice and not a summon. And to think I'd see the day where you would actually regret Boobs not getting first place, lmao. Now I can retire feeling fulfilled XD

I don't know, I kept the red scarf on my Lilith :3 And ehm.. yeah, maybe it'll transform? Who knows, it might be an incarnation of Alear's ancestor or something? I'm only at chapter 18, so I don't know all yet.
Actual dragon transformation is neat. And giving your units a revival stone is quite useful, in theory. In practice I haven't really had need for it yet. Or at least, none of my revival stones were ever used up :P
Personally I find Sombron to look rather odd. Why would a cobra have legs? So strange. I think his human form is alright though..
Hey I didn't say I wouldn't want them to win! And not for the boobs, fully for the Altina. But there is also Fomortiis... We shall see who wins!

I do know how the story ends since I was watching someone do a blind maddening run while waiting to hear if I'd get my copy or not, and to my knowledge Sommie stays an enigma. However. It is possible that they saved it for DLC wave 4 or something, too. Since that seems to be where all the extra story bits will be.
Also RE: revival stone, I didn't pay close attention to it but apparently you can only have it on one unit at a time? I think there was a few times where I wondered "ey where your stone at?" and never connected it might be due to giving another unit a stone. Depending on the map and character, it can take a while to charge Tiki up again, so it's not like I had every map trying to double my revival stones. I also don't think I've needed it per se, but Engage attacks are good for bond points and all, so of course I use it every map. Usually on weak units, or units who might risk a thing or two through exposure, such as our dancing boy Seadall (though I also don't have the impression he ever needed it). And while technically the crystal can always undo any bad mistakes, I do try to not need it to begin with.
Still not entirely sure if I like the evolution of 3H's targeting system. Before, you'd know exactly which unit of yours would be targeted, now it just shows you what enemies your unit will be in range of at spot X. Or maybe I overlooked a map option or something. Although I do like that enemies don't risk attacking a unit they do zero damage against. Honestly gotta give the AI some credit, it's definitely a step up.
So anywaaaays. Fomorrtis now has a guaranteed spot in my sweep team. Not sure if I can or should pimp him some more, there are moments where I am reminded he is no Edelgard, but overall he is pretty decent yo. If we happen to hit a time again where we don't need to spend stamina all the time, I might retry tackling some of those chain challenges on Lunatic, still got some unclaimed orbs in places with Edie-killers XD And I never really figured out a decent team composition before, I suppose. Short of, you know, a wall of Edies + Ashe Warp. Which works 90% of the time.
And since the Askr DoD banner has no spark and no special rate I only summoned once, and it wasn't my boi Alfonse. So I tried my luck at the DoD Tellius banner, since I only got Soren from there... and ended up with another Soren, lol. (I absolutely love him in Engage btw.) Oh and a 4-Star Special Xmas Eirika, last Eirika I needed to be done with her alts.
No Geoffrey or Lucia for me but holy crap her sword is a rough one to face at times. Got me Elincia with the spark and two 4-Star Bastians came along. Decided not to toss orbs into Peony and Thrasir since I had those two and the heroes featured on their banners. While I wouldn't hate getting extras of those, I'd rather keeps orbs for banners with new stuff. Ironically, I got Thrasir as the first freebie summon on her banner, lol. Oh and I finally got Ninja Cherche! Also on the Tellius banner, I think? I don't remember. But I'm almost happier I got her than anyone else this week lol.

Sssh, no spoilers! I've only just beat chapter 19 :P But yeah, the DLC story.. I doubt that will be relevant to the entire story. It's weird too when you think about it. Engage is an anniversary game, celebrating most of Fire Emblem history with emblems and bond rings (and actual characters. Come on, Kagetsu is Hoshidan and Rosado is a cuter, male Camilla :P), so how can there be a bonus story?
I'm afraid I'm quite guilty when it comes to using the time crystal to rewind mistakes. I can get a bit reckless at times (and Citrinne just cannot take a hit.. She's in my C team though :P). Not to mention: super unfair and out of nowhere crits. 9% does not warrant a crit if I don't get them at 30! >: |
Bit lame though that you can have only one revival stone...
What I don't like is that there are so many things that are more complicated to know than other games. So often you cannot find out (or not easily) how high a unit's Mt is and what a weapon's Wt is. Or how you can't use left and right (either the D-pad or shoulder buttons) to scroll through your until list faster. That becomes ever more frustrating now that I have so many units and Emblems... Oh and that targeting you mentions. "I put my unit here.. who can hit it? Oh there is this line going to a unit off-screen. What is that?" Of course you have to move the cursor again!
Such a boring team.. Granted, I haven't done any Lunatic Chain Challenges, but my fun-powerful team consists of the Ike-Mist duo, Zeke, braveEdelgard and either ninjAmilla or the Lysithea/Lute duo. And that is great for quests that require a sword, lance or axe hero (otherwise I'd use female fallen werewolf Robin).
You got a Soren? Gimmeee! That is the only one I lack of that banner! When I tried my free summon they gave me a four-star special Tsubasa Oribe (age 18). And I didn't get a Gustaf on the other banner, but not due to lack of trying. Besides Hana and Conrad I haven't summoned anyone new yet..
No, I think you got that Cherche from the double heroes banner, I doubt they toss a last year hero into the 4* special pool :P I didn't got anything for my tickets (was hoping to get Lucia, I have always loved her hair, whether long or short) but I'm okay with that. I only spend orbs on special banners. Those are more important to me :3 Not this double heroes banner however. Of the eight focus heroes I only lack the Sophia. Would be a bit of a waste! :P

I think you were right about the Cherche, she was the last thing I needed from there so I stopped summoning beyond getting her.
Somehow I also managed to get Legendary Robin on the very first summon on that banner. I coulda stopped there but I still needed Gregor, and while he's a regular-ish unit I figured I might as well since the high % might grant another legend along the way. Which it did, lol. Seliph, but same IVs as I already had. But hey, bane-merge.
I hear the next Engage DLC wave is out on Wednesday so I'm very curious about the Emblem skills and other goodies. And yeah I do use the Time Crystal. New game with new mechanics means I wanna experiment and it doesn't always work out, no need to make it harder than necessary on me when I still wanna enjoy the game.
Unrelated, but we've lost a family pet this week, a lil' pug that made it to 13 years. My mum is an absolute mess rn and I can't deny I miss the little goblin too. It sucks. But what can ya do, right?

Congrats on getting that legendary. I, as is tradition, walked away with a bronze hero for my free summon. Oh and three more bronze today in the same pool on the Valentine's banner. That's 42 summons and still only have had the silver Hana. sigh And new specials are around the corner, so.. Another wasted DoD banner. Just like last year.

I've been really lucky with the bunny banner, I haven't even hit the spark yet and aside from getting Triandra earlier, I got Karla and a 4-Star Ashe today. So I guess I'm free to use my spark for Bernie if I don't get her first. It does feel a little accomplished.
I'm starting to get better at arena stuff now that I have a perma-3 team that's decent regardless of who fills slot 4. Can I actually climb high enough to earn a damn throne? Also did I mention they need to stop doing events that use stamina at the same time lol.

Oh and lady Anna is now confirmed to be part of the extended Anna family (if she didn't mention such a thing in support conversations). Although I do wonder what period this Veronica is from. She wants to crush Askr, which is a Book I kind of thing, but she looks like her Book VI incarnation. Not to mention, she is lonely, so Letizia is probably already gone. Weird! :P

From what I've seen, people are saying she's Book VI looks with Book I personality, and theory has been that it's related to the dev time. Like maybe they had convos and stuff already ready and rather than redoing all that they only updated the look as that's like one large asset over several smaller ones? Idk I downloaded the update but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I do however hope they don't patch the ring seed thing out because the gacha is annoying as is lol. And while I did (I think) hear about set seeds on the internet, I never heard anyone mention that you can get corresponding rings from another emblem on the seed until long after I discovered that for myself. That's not to say I was the first, I just didn't see anyone talking about it until some time after. Although I've never really taken advantage of the options to forward the seed, at most all I did was reset and then pick different emblems for the gacha. Too much effort, no matter how great Olwen S would be XD

My arena was always around 18 to 19 but I'm actually (currently) possibly hitting 20. Since you can only get one rank up per season, I guess? at least that's all it shows me. One up, one down, lol But hey at least I figured something out, I guess. I'm also doing better in AR during chaos season for some reason, but not got enough for any thrones lol. Nor do I ever see myself maxing out PoL to actually get the accessory. And well Summoner Duels I'm still not doing lol. I did it for a bit for the free forma and stuff but that's about it

Hmm.. That sounds somewhat plausible.. but also a little dumb. I mean, she is indeed talking about contracts with heroes again, something she didn't really mention in Book VI, but they didn't have to go for her new appearance. Especially since they also gave her her Brave staff. Now she is a distortion, had they kept her first design they could have claimed she came from another time. Or heck, skip that altogether, because not everyone who plays Engage plays Heroes as well...

Are you confusing Pawns of Loki with Heroes Path? XD Cause I always max out the latter. For PoL I just make sure to hit the 40k for the loot and that's it. So hence my saying I may never get the accessory from the higher tier lol. I always have the mementos maxed and for some reason I always get at least one of the new batch before can use all the scraps, so I end up with so many leftover scraps lol.
Seed as in... the rings are set a certain way, so even if you reset the game you'll still get the same rings. To change what your next rings are you have to do certain things, like a battle. So seed refers to the predetermined ring slots coming your way. Like if you get an S-Rank ring as 8th of a 10-pack, you'll get it every time as the 8th even when you reset the game. To make it inch closer or skip over it, you can do stuff on Somniel or enter battles. Think of it maybe like a row of those "pull a number" tickets. There's set numbers on them and even if you could reset to the moment you pulled one you'd still get that number. If you wanted a different number you'd have to come earlier or wait for others to draw. (Am I making this more complicated than it needs to be?).
But for example, you save, do the 10-pull, and then get S-Rank Seliph (who is the first slot for Sigurd) from Emblem Sigurd as the second ring. You can reset your game, and pull one ring from wherever, and then do the next pull, knowing it will be an S-Rank ring for the first slot. So if there's an Emblem whose S-Rank ring in slot 1 you're still missing or otherwise want, you'll do your second pull there. Maybe looking up videos with visual aid would be better than me explaining.
And yes I definitely ended up with that cold, yesterday was horrible and today was no fun either. My ears are so plugged it's like being on a plane lol.

Ahh, I see I see. Yes, Engage seems to do this a lot. You can rewind a turn all you want, but if you do the same things in the same order, the outcome is always the same too. So weird how that works. I always just forge rings one at a time though, just for fun ^^

I'm also a little irate, but for other reasons. Our internet/TV provider decided to sell us a new modem thing that we didn't really need I think, complete with new (inferior to the previous, in my opinion) boxes for digital TV. It all works... except for our WiFi. For some reason we had two networks for the longest time. The oldest one, I didn't think it worked anymore, was largely unused. The newer one worked fine. But now the newer one is gone and nobody remembers the password to the old one (that apparently still works and my laptop remembers how to log in to it, bypassing the password issue). And since my phone can only hook up to WiFi, i was unable to play Heroes today! >: |
EDIT: Grrr, I really hate Heroes sometimes... I did EIGHT summons today, one of which the Arena ticket, which is of course a guaranteed golden, but it was Elise and I already have that one. Of the other seven there were one free hero, three on the legendary banner, one on the DoD banner of last year and two of the Easter banner. Of those seven summons there was exactly ONE silver, the rest was bronze. What are these percentages? >: |

Eyyyy re-armed Tana and her gang. It's been a rather successful banner for me, maybe because I didn't really care much for any of them per se, just for completion. But yee, percentages are of little help except feeding the more often than not false hope, eh?
RE:seeds, not sure if I would call it cheating, it's more than people found out a game mechanic. And if it's not gonna be patched out with the last DLC I assume they don't consider it cheating either. You might argue it could be an exploit, but compared to the Renown bug in Three Houses, I don't think it is. It's not like observing the seed gives you more or better things. It just helps you cut down on the gacha costs if you do it right.
So anyways I think I am sick no more. But now there is a lot of work to catch up on, lol.

Congratulations on clearing another banner! Meanwhile I'm over 20 summons in on the bunny banner and all I got is Ascended Joshua.. So nothing for me yet.
Just because something is not fixed in a game doesn't mean it's not actually cheating! It seems like cheating to me, so it's not likely something I'll do anything with. At least not for the time being. Plus, we're Heroes players, we live for gacha stuff!!

I've exhausted all chain challenges on Lunatic (normal and hard don't give orbs) so now I'm doing squad challenges. I think I finished 27 or 28 so there's a few more to go there. After that... no more free orbs until new maps are added to either challenge I get lol. But I can always go for the feathers if I have stamina to burn.
As for HoF... I do still need Ninja Laevatein, seems the cheaper option to Forma her (+ the extra skills) than to summon 40 times and spark her. Assuming I wouldn't get lucky first, of course.

Congrats on Valentian Est. I hoped to get Gustaf today, but of course my pool was void of green orbs. Story of my life. Still no bunnies either. I do hope my luck or whatever factor is measured when I try to summon something comes back next month, because after spring it's usually tiny heroes, isn't it? As for now I have nothing* to train..
I don't really do chain challenges and I only do squad assaults when I really feel like it. At least the latter are somewhat fun.

I mean, the blue-black cobra dragon is technically not new/unique to this trailer, it was already revealed when they explainined more about the DLC in the nintendo direct. So no spoiler, harumph.
I'm almost caught up on Squad Assaults, I completed the 56th just now. So only 12 more seals/24 more orbs and then I have to wait for more. But I guess I also might as well do the chain challenges for feathers when I'm done with those, to get rid of the exclamationmarks lol.
I still haven't entirely figured out scoring in AR and Arena, but like, it sucks when you're at a tier where it only goes up or down, and there's no way to at least stay on the tier you're on. Like right now I'm Rank 10,864 on Tier 19, the cutoff for moving to twenty is currently rank 8113, everyone else moves down to 18 again (which is currently 8114 to 23179). So roughly the top third goes up, the other two thirds go down. Kinda sucks when you feel like you could be getting close to finally earning a crown or a throne but whoops, anyone who has more money than you or played longer (or both) and does more math (which I am too dumb for) will barr you from it forever lol. I've never been a fan of PVP but I hate being left ouuuuut.
Haven't touched the Summoner Duels in forever though. It gives neither orbs nor Arenamedals, and I need more of the latter. I always have the other refine items in the required number first and have to wait till I reach 500 again. I mean I guess I could refresh my arena until I run out of items but the reward is so little.... idk. Not that refines are a priority but yeah. Granted I currently also really need more sacred coins because of all the squad seals. More grails is always nice but I don't use them much after I got all the units I wasn't there for.
The current BHB Banner reminded me that I still don't have a Leanne, and she's one of the oldererer units. I did get a manual from some divine codes or other but that about it. I also wonder if I'll ever have a chance to catch up on DC manuals 1-3, I mean I know I can use DC 4 codes for the older ones but I think I'll prefer using them on 4 for now. No idea if they ever give you enough codes to do the entire roster if you do all the things that give them, I usually skipped on the limited battles that gave 20 a piece, but I am also missing a bunch of DC 1 and 2 since I joined like 2 or something years in. I think.
I almost, almost managed to beat HoF on the first day, got a bit unlucky on the final chamber (and was out of torches), but I rectified that today. Now I just need to play daily for those rewards.
Anywho, I've been playing a bit more Three Hopes as well. Pretty close to wrapping up Scarlet Blaze I think. Just currently money grinding to empty the item shop before the chapter ends lol.

Yeah, it's pretty unfair that it's pretty much impossible to get a better score than that. I'm not at rank 18 in the arena and sometimes I move up to 19, but usually I just sink down to 17, only to climb back up to 18 in the next round.. Seasons also don't last long enough for me to use the heroes in the focus. Or to have the heroes in the focus....
Oh grails.. I've never thought of them as interesting... But then again, I don't play Heroes "the proper way". I don't spend lots and lots of money on orbs, I don't merge my heroes into ungodly beings, I don't give everyone the best skills possible.. I just play the game to collect new heroes and even that I'm not allowed to do anymore (38 summons in, no bunny. None.). It is times like these that I hope the game will just stop getting updates and.. I don't know... end like Miitomo with a couple of weeks of plenty of free tries (to summon in this case)..

I was stunned that the Ryoma banner actually had a red orb in it. Of course, no Ryoma.. And he's a year one hero! XD
I don't remember DCs being a thing in the first years anyway. Those are those scrolls you can use to buy random hero manuals, right? Or am I thinking of an entirely different thing.. It's probably another resource I stopped caring about :P Then again, I really only seem to care about orbs and dew..

Well I spent some, but now I'm done with all the squad maps :( Currently waiting to gather enough to breeze through whatever the next new banner is. Though it is tempting to go through the AHR 23 banner another time since you can spark 4 times total. But like, Ninja Camilla was the only one I was lacking and I got her on the first 40 summons, so why keep going right?
I didn't always clear HoF so fast, and in the beginning I also didn't care too much since it was always teasing me with heroes I didn't have, nor knew how to use lol. Of course if I had my way, FEH would keep going forever... or at least have some sort of offline access solution when it does end, so I can stare at my bois and girls locally when servers shut down.

And Engage DLC dropped but I actually had no time to play yet. Been watching someone's play on Maddening though and it is hella insane. But no worries, no spoilers. I am also told that Soren got nerfed (or was that Veyle?) because the combo was more powerful than originally intended, so now health recovery is only up to half of the HP the enemy had left, which wasn't how it worked before. No more nos-tanking overkill, or so I hear. I hadn't tried the combo out yet, lol.
Also I re-checked the Arena Ticket pool and I -think- if I checked correctly I'm only missing Quan, Leanne, and Mist from there. (Also, random fun fact, I have no alts for Quan or Mist either. Probably only got the Leanne alt because it's an Azura alt.) I coulda sworn there was at least one more red I needed but I guess not. But also, I got Elise twice in a row from there, lmao. Even with the same stat IVs. And speaking of fairies, Fairy (resplendent) Palla was no surprise given her sisters, but now Aversa too? I mean it does look good on her, but two fairies in a row lol.

Today I can't get my phone to connect to the WiFi, so I can't play Heroes.. Which sucks, because it means I'll have to work much harder next time I do get to play to get the Tempest Trials thing in! Oh well.. Let's just hope next hotel has better WiFi :P

Not sure if I am so important but I do what I can. And it's tax season so I am plenty busy lol.
Can relate to time shenanigans though. It always throws me for a loop when DST is misaligned. So part of the year, reset is 8am, and part is 9am, rip.
So DLC is neat but just how there's no NG+, you have to play through it per save-file to get the units and stuff. I'd much prefer if it worked like Cindered Shadows (in a way, the gameplay feels like it), and you'd play separate from any story and get to claim the goodies for any playthrough. Imo DLC final map is more challenging than vanilla game final map lol. But that's not a bad thing of course.
Okay so, previous banner with the young boys and gals was not kind to me, but for ReArmed Ingrid I got like Ingrid, Rhea and (Demote) Sylvain in the first 3 or 4 pools. Of course Felix being the tsundere he is never came home, but that's what the spark is for. Was surprised to see another Rhea though. And with Ingrid looking more like her Three Hopes counterpart, why not add a Faerghus person that had a bigger role in that game instead. Like Rodrigue :D Or just a general Faerghus person, like Lonato, for extra controversy XD not like we don't have enough old knights buuut. Although I did kinda like Rhea's Forging Bonds supports. So that's a plus.

Yeah, you know what Heroes could also do? Instead of adding MORE THREE HOUSES HEROES, they could.. I don't know.. actually add some more Engage heroes... It is nice that we do finally get a normal form of Felix, Sylvain and Rhea, I guess, even though this is the millionth Rhea and I don't get why she's so interesting.
Speaking of the small heroes banner. I only have one so far but that might be a good sign? Well, I have two technically. One is called Mark, the other is Lyn ^ -^ Wish I could play today... Oh wells!

So turns out I was mistaken about Arena Banner. My last check revealed I needed Siegbert, Nils, Mist and Leanne. But this also meant I kept trying for colourless since there was two I was lacking there. I got Mist from the new mythical banner though, so... that's 3 left to aim for. I do want Nils, I've been wanting the cute boi ever since his release, but nope. His Halloween freebie was a bit of a compensation I guess XD
I'm still not entirely sure how to feel about banner luck lately... I can't believe I still don't have regular Plumeria, considering what my type of humour is, lol. Also I got Brave f!Byleth on the CYL 4 or 5 banner, lmao? Like, m'am, your queue is over there. And Arval kept hijacking my mythical summons, talk about attachment issues. Not complaining of course. Also you know how they introduced those focus charges, I don't remember if I ever got them up to 3/3 before a spark. I think there might have been one banner where I did fill it up on the final round but I wasn't gonna summon beyond that. So I never really got to take advantage of that function.
As for non-FE related things, my hype for the new Zelda game has been increasing exponentially, so if naught else that is yet another reason for me to be a terrible pen-pal, haha. Work has been busy, it'll probably never stop being busy, and the house needs renovating (which should be easier now that winter is... sort of gone? It still snowed yesterday so... eeeeh.)

Most I got on that charges thing was two, in the previous special banner. I can't say I have summoned anything nice since young Rebecca, the Breezy Scamp. And since that was the silver one my golden rate is now 4%. Still looking for the boys. Other than that.. I haven't tried all my ticket summons yet, doing that slowly, nothing there so far. Did only the free summon on the Mythic banner and it wasn't a bronze hero for a change! Was a 4* special Linde if I recall. Not so useful either :P I'd love an Arval though. I always welcome more Melissa Hutchinson. Or Nerphus of course, for more Christina Vee. What is up with her outfit though? Same as Seithr, they need outfits that fit their bodies!

Okay but that banner legitimately fucked with me lmao. So I got none of them, and then chose Chrom because he was the one I wanted most. Then I noticed you can get a second spark on this banner, so why not, right? In the meantime, I triggered the 3 focus charges, so that was new, but I was like "great, now I have better odds..." and then I get Chrom. also neutral, like the spark choice. and it resets the focus charge of course. Like goddamn. But okay, we still got a few more summons to go before second spark... aaaaand there's another Chrom. I felt so trolled lmao.
Also I chose Anankos because he was my second fav and his Cipher art was amazing too.
(like don't get me wrong, getting two banner units non-spark is amazing but basically having the same unit thrice in one banner... remember how I said I have a tendency to get the units I picked as freebies? well if that isn't once again proving true lol)
But yay, Team mark won! Also, I kinda miss legendary Yuri arena season, that stuff was lit lol. He's a beast.

Pff, at least you HAVE a legendary Yuri. I can never use a legendary or mythic hero from the bonus and far too often have to resort to using Gen I heroes. Of course most of the killing is done by brave Eirika, thief duo Nina/Kagerou and ninJamilla.

How dare you speak ill of the pure small-statured Alear?! Yes, I chose female Alear, she is less boring than male Alear and her outfit is not revealing at all. But yes, I am somewhat close to the end. I feel a little torn though. Do I want to finish all support conversations first and then beat the game, barring me from using heroes that I keep at a low level so I don't breeze through the story chapters too quicky, or do I quickly beat the game and then just use everyone for more easy support, not completing everyone's full character development before the end of the game?
For now I'm just farming gold to pay off the kingdoms ^^ Fell Xenologue is great for Gold Corrupted! Gold Corrupted Wyverns carry two satchels of 1500 gold!

I'm soooooorry, Tears of the Kingdom has been eating my free time and I loved every minute of it. I shan't bore you with my exploration though since you seem a bit turned off from the game right now.
But I've been appropriately punished for not getting back to you. I made a really badass Forma Kris and, shortly after reset on the availability, realized I forgot to get him. I can not tell you how much regret there is in my heart... He was a really fun speed-build.
Also yeah, I sometimes forget to check up on A Day in the Life, but then that's more comics to read at once so that's always fun! And yeah, all the tap battles seem to be returns, right? Although I don't mind earning accessories for free, saves me from buying them at the shop. Especially with that veronica pricetag lol.
Re:Engage, I know what you mean. When you get close to the end, there's always the question, do you push through or wrap everything else up first? Especially since there's no NG+. Was watching a Faerghast video the other day on the commercial differences between Engage and Three Houses and why that might be. He mentioned the lack of NG+ too lol. I'm not speaking evil of f!Alear though, I obviously started with her XD
And circling back to heroes for a moment, one of these days I shall understand how some of the scorings work but today is not that day. I'll just keep bouncing back between the same tiers in all modes I guess lol.

And hack the game to give them a Seer Snare-like moveset :P Speaking of, I kinda liked that mode. I didn't go for the Advanced boss fights because who needs feathers? Was fun. I hope I'll be able to continue putting together fun, strong teams. This time I used brave Marth, both werewolf dragons and brave Tiki. Quite powerful! ^ -^
Speaking of Tiki. Of the whole bridal banner, that's the only one I have so far! Hope to get Anna too of course, for my Anna collection, but I'm very happy to have the dragons~!

Well, can confirm, Nel does like f!Alear, though it goes beyond homosexuality I think since she's rediscovering that feeling for the opposite-gendered Alear. After all, they're almost the same person, give or take a few physical characteristics XD Like one being a genuine divine dragon.
I think Niles is bi (I mean aside from both Corrins being able to marry him, albeit male Corrin being the only male in-game to be able to S-Rank him). He plays both fields! But his interactions with Leo, ESPECIALLY in Warriors are a slew of double entendres. Ah yes there's also Rhajat for the other side.
Three Houses had a few more option but it is a Crime that Edelgard is the only lord that goes both ways. Like Claude, okay, I can sort of see how he flirts as a means to an end and doesn't mean it, but Dimitri's route honestly works great with both gender Byleths too. There doesn't even have to be anything sexual, but you can't tell me they weren't "roommates" lmao.
In a way I can appreciate that you can 'marry' anyone regardless of their or your gender in Engage. I guess since there is no marriage it is indeed an... Engagement? XD Plus it's called a pact ring, and I mean, the whole fiance status is like a pact/vow/promise to be married later. (the DitL comic with non-Emblem Marth and Alear engaging was too cute!)
For the new game mode, I went in with an all dragon infantry team (didn't wanna assemble a new one and wanted to steer away from always using my usual). But didn't feel like assembling a new team, so this one looked the most survivable of the rest. That and having better sync with one another, since they had some dragon seals etc. Also didn't do the advanced battles, lol. But legendary Corrin was almost a liability compared to the others XD the others I had were Awakened and Brave Tiki, and Legendary Fae.
I of course had to use my freebie to get the duo but it was overall a good banner for me I think. I got everyone else, even if Flavia was a demote. Also Fallen Chrom is a beast. I like to stuff new units in a team so they can level up together and he barely gives the others a chance to hit stuff lol. He was already at level 40 when the others barely broke 30. And it was a team of three since I didn't have anything else to train that didn't need to get made 5* first.

I didn't play Fates enough to know much about not-Tharja.. But Niles being more than eager to cover the back in Warriors even made me chuckle. And I'm usually not at all a fan of such unnecessary banter. I have to say, I don't think I've found any of that in Engage yet. The most "lewd" I've found is that Goldmary takes her clothes off in her C conversation with Framme. Of course she does so off screen :P

That way it will be about the same as all the previous special banners this year. No more insane luck. I guess they changed some summoning parameters without telling us about it.

I can understand that kind of attachment, or at least I feel like I could. For what it's worth, I wish I had that kind of love in my life. Might be too much to ask. But I totally believe that love does transcend physical. When I talk to people online, I much prefer not knowing what they look like. That way nothing can distract me (for better or worse) from who they are at their core. You could almost say attaching a face to people "ruins" things for me. Even if their online persona does not accurately reflect who they are offline, it's still them, and that part of them is the one on my mind as a sort of of vague yet constant them. Like if I saw your face I wouldn't hate you, but I'd much rather have you in mind with an association to the cute thief than like, suddenly be reminded "oh right, you're a guy, you have X hair Y eyes your nationality is Z". Maybe it sounds weird idk. But I care so much more for how a person is than for how they look, and we all have biases we can't help and not knowing how someone looks like keeps them from popping up lol. For what it's worth I even 'forget' you're a guy when we talk because your biological sex doesn't matter in our conversations. You're just you. And I like it that way.
So anyways. I do believe in the love for a soul. And while I have not experienced the particular Engage dilemma personally (or I don't remember because memory wipe reincarnation shenanigans) I'd love to believe that if/when I have that true connection to someone, I'd recognize them no matter what form they take. Perhaps not consciously, but my soul might. And we might not be lovers each lifetime, we might be friends, or we might even be close siblings depending on how and when and where we're born, but I digress. What a tangent lol.

Ooh, that got deep all of a sudden! Thank you for sharing that. Honestly, I recognise bits of what you say in myself. I haven't actually thought of it that way per se, how attaching a picture to someone could "ruin" my perception of them so to speak, but I definitely don't mind not knowing what someone looks like and knowing them by their avatars. I even had an online relationship with a person that lasted a year and a half and we never exchanged pictures, because we didn't think that was important for a relationship. So honestly, I don't think it's weird to think this way!

(And, it's not like I should complain anyway. I mean, this bridal banner has been the most generous to me of all special banners this year. I got the dragon duo early, and now also have a silver Flavia and the Anna.)

Maybe make a banner with the twins, the evil derg, and then another ascended or rearmed that has nothing to do with the games (I mean they did that with Líf on the 3 Hopes banner)? And weeeeell, Engage engagement rings... so initially for F!Alear I wanted Louis (I thought that was obvious, you saw my switch icon lol), but when I found out his VA was married to Louis VA I saved it for M!Alear file lol. F!Alear went with... drumroll please... Alfred actually. Not just because otherwise he dies young but that might have played a role in it. Damn you, epilogues! Might go for Diamant or Alcryst if I do another F!Alear run but honestly... there's a lot of great bachelor(ette)s. I know I could also go for the gay options... or the incest one, lol - but idk I also like the notion of procreating (for legacy, in certain settings, but not necessarily irl) and that usually works best with the opposite sex.
I ever so have a hard time picking favs. Even more so than I did with previous games. Like, there might be tiers in terms of affection for me, but clear favourite is rare. Aside from Inigo. Attracted is a strong word lol. But I mean, of course an interesting person is, well, more interesting. With games having a larger cast developing the habit of giving each character a staple trait and making everything around them about that trait, it can get gimmicky. So it's nice when supports expand on the character rather than rehashing the same stuff. That's not to say their traits should be limited to a single support convo and each of them needs to be super unique, but there's characters where I can appreciate their support more than their in-game dialogue (Xander is a prime example) to the point where they almost feel like 2 different characters lol.
Lapis... I suppose she might seem a bit strange, but I found her very relatable. Might've been the whole being poor and feeling indebted to your saviour (in a non-toxic way), while at the same time always trying to make the most out of what you got (repairing instead of replacing, etc). Also potatoes ARE the best. Potato lovers represent! And she has pink hair which I suppose is still in range for my own preference of orange-red-pink in character creators lol. (I always want the Cordelia/Hinoka red and they never let me! it's always more orange or more pink. So

Does mean it's unfortunate that I can't use a whole lot of heroes, as that would make them all too strong for the final chapter :P Worry not, there will someday come a day that I too know these epilogues!
Right. I find it rather annoying when Heroes focuses on one aspect of a Hero too much as well. As if Neimi was always bawling her eyes out. She usually only did that when Colm was being harsh on her.. She's cute though ^^ Another character that is almost like two different characters in-game and in support is Panette. I LOVE her tucked away rough side.
Lapis is from a yam farm and yams aren't potatoes, they're gross XD But I do love how "simple" she is, in the humble sense. As you said, repairing instead of replacing. Making a Fogado-scarecrow to chase off some bandits, that's clever ^^ I'm just a sucker for the more reserved, somewhat shy characters that can pack a punch if need be, especially if female (no, I'm not Saul...). Come on, she fights bears!!

So I've recently rewatched all the Book movies for FEH and I forgot how weird the Nidavellir Ending was with Eitri's monologue.
And also there's still that plotline of Thrasir and Lif approaching Triandra and Plumeria to revive Freyja... hmmm. Guess we have to stay tuned to see how things play out, or if that has been forgotten about. Also, I saw someone replying in a FEH-related video that Heidr is that child that Seidr has with the summoner which, given recent events and dialogue, makes sense, and part of me wonders if that should have been super obvious and I wonder if I shoulda caught on to that, idk. Marked as spoilers in case you don't wanna see yet lol. And since I think it's just speculation at this point but I am inclined to agree.
And yay support grinding :D Final boss time is always a good time to do so, but I also recommend it to find your platonical life partner. You never know how someone's supports might surprise you!

Oh I saw that coming from a mile away actually. That Seithr is also Gullveig is a little strange, but that's not that surprising in hindight either. I have a 'friend' on FEH that now greets me with "we are all gullveig". This also makes time traveling very confusing. Because Gullveig would not exist if Seithr didn't have a kid with Kiran/Adric/whateveryoucallyourself, but if Seithr is also Gullveig.. she had herself for a child? And all of this without sex too! Still, I count it as cheating on Fjorm. She and the summoner are meant for one another!

And speaking of Youtube, one FE-related, smaller channel I've been enjoying recently is Self-Critic Kevlin. Their GMVs are part of the reason why I decided to rewatch the book movies. Footage of 3D emblem can be limited but I enjoy these (and the commentary on the FE engage chapters) quite a bit.

I don't really pay much attention to other FEH-centric channels. The only reason I look them up, channels like SergioRodriguez and Elmao, is when I need help with Tactic Drills and Abyssal battles respectively.

As for my tactic drills, if I get stuck I look them up on game8, though I know video guides exist. I haven't used any for abyssal but maybe I should... there's still a gold accessory or two I need to get, I think. I don't remember until they cycle back in lol. I usually avoid most of the 'factual' videos and tier lists, but as you know I love the memes. Also currently watching Excelblem due a 1-Durability run on Sacred Stones, which is pretty entertaining. EDIT: Decided to finally retire my current Forging Bonds team (Mareeta, puppet Delthea, picnic Felicia and Norne). I'm weirdly sentimental about these things. Time to try things out with Ascendant Mareeta, bunny Delthea, Mamori Minamoto (and Draug) and Neimi. Mamori can wear any kind of accessory, strangely enough XD Bunny Delthea can't though, so I might have to swap her out...
Oh and ehm.. sorry to brag but.. totally out of the blue and nowhere.. I got the new swimsuit duo.. Yay :)

Excel's 1-Durability run is a self-imposed challenge run with the game edited so each weapon (or tome or staff) breaks after 1 use. Which makes rout maps a nightmare lol. But it is fun to watch. He does recaps of each chapter of any FE game /run that are like about a minute, if you feel so inclined to check the madman out.
And eeeeh I usually ignore tierlist or build videos, I do like the meme vids though :D Although with Weapons and Skills getting more and more like essays in their description, they might need to create a new doctorate/degree at this point lmao. Just so you have someone who can keep up with the powercreep BS.

Ah, I see. That sounds unnecessarily challenging. A bit like those Pokémon Nuzlocke things people like to do for some reason, where instead of reviving your Pokémon at a PokéCenter, you have to set them free. I would never be able to do that. All my mons are sacred to me!
The fact that they need to scroll through skills in the reveal videos just goes to show that skill descriptions are too long. Maybe we need a guide book so they don't need to explain words like Penalty every single time... Powercreeping is dumb. If only all heroes could be equal in power now, without the skills and stats get so out of hand...

It would already help me a lot if they included the stupid symbols along with the descriptions? like stat or mov up and down are probably obvious, panic is part of the skill symbol, anything related to ground orders etc with teleport related to flying units is sort of visible in the symbol... but there's so many new/weird status symbols that you basically have to check every enemy (and ally if you're not as familiar with the units you use) to see what their effects are (skills, weapons, or anything...) and then figure out if that is the active effect or not. Like, normally in RPGs etc when a unit has a buff or debuff there's some way to check the details on that, but if I click on a unit that has one of the symbols I'm not sure about, nothing shows that to me. as far as I'm aware lol.

Half the time I don't even really care about everyone's skills and the other half I just forget. Like remembering after 10 won 10th stratum matches with only armoured units that Murdoch can counter from a distance.. I just beat up everyone with everyone and try to remember when units have Canto.
What I find the worst thing about this game (aside from low luck rates, I've been on a mostly bronze streak again since getting that duo) is battle predictions. If it says I am going to deal 30 damage twice, I don't want to see I deal only 14 and 8 because stats and skills. Just tell me what I am going to do exactly how it is going to happen! >: | I don't care why I deal so little damage, I just want to know beforehand!
EDIT: Woohoo. The silver princess came to play~! Of course getting the others nice, but it's not like getting them would complete a set for me.. At least the duo and L'Arachel did that for me ^ -^

Sooooo I think I was being an idiot with my orbs on the Eir/Grima banner. Still needed Eir and while Ascendeds can be on regular banners, figured why not go for the guaranteed option. And I let myself be taunted by the focus charge (that was ready to go before the freebie even) and I did like another 30 or 35 summons and it feels like it was all junk and then I got another Eir and... in retrospect, while it LOOKS good that they remove the regular 5* from the pool, in the end all it really does, or seems to do for me, is increase odds for silver and bronze. Like Silver was always over 50% there and I feel like I'd rather get a regular gold and lose 1% than that. Though maybe that's just bad luck speaking lol. Then again, maybe it is also a tiny consolation to you when I'm being a dumbass XD

Also I am really struggling with the team being stronger most of the time, how am I gonna get the multipliers in in time to use up all the flags? I think last time I ran out of time to use up all the flags (since it ends at like 5am or something and not reset). And don't worry about getting my summer boi, I recall getting a few ladies you wanted to have from banners, so I reckon it's only fair. Speaking of summer, the next banner is just around the corner...
And yes I agree, I want my battle prediction to show what I actually do. If my Enemy gets to hit first and kill me due to a skill even when I initiate, I wanna see that rather than waste my turn/unit. The prediction should show me what is actually gonna happen (and since there's no dodge or avoid in FEH, shouldn't that be the default? Since there are no dicerolls in combat, only hard stats and skills?).
It's getting really tiring to remember what to watch out for in terms of unique skills that get power crept with even more unique skills... Not sure if we discussed before, they removed Fallen Edelgard from the training tower, but there's still enough units to go around and kick ass to, uh, make the training tower really annoying for, you know, actually training units.

I'm afraid I don't share your feelings in regards to this. After all, I don't have a subscription to FEH Pass, so neither the 40 summon freebie nor the charge thing are things I can make use of. Although the way you make it out to be, that it secretly increases your chances of getting silver or bronze doesn't really surprise me. After all, those percentages mean nothing :P
Of course I sided with Nephenee. After Marisa she's the coolest Fire Emblem heroette ever! Let's just hope she can push through Nanna. Time will tell! I don't really care about using all my flags. I just do five matches in two days to get the orbs. That is all I care about :P
Yes! I suspect a Feh Channel update to roll out tomorrow. It's about time anyway. I do hope they're not choosing Engage as the game for this summer banner, that would be unfair, but literally anything is better than Three Houses. Even the game itself acknowledges that the amount of summer House heroes is quite overdone after all. I would definitely die if they stuck poor Marisa (or Catria) in a bathing suit. Oooh, maybe Felicia, that would be neat! I didn't check the silhouettes, so I'm still very much in the dark ^^

Oh, I don't think I was aware of that.. I thought they nerfed her for Loki's Pawns too, but she doesn't seem too different there. Other heroes that need to be removed from the training tower are the aforementioned Rhea and Alear. Love Alear, hate her as an opponent.

AAAAARGH I forgot to freebie-summon on the Ylisse Summer banner. (And the two weekly banners. Was waiting for the fandom wiki site to fix itself and forgot all about that...) There goes my shot at Summer f!Robin and Summer Frederick, again! Also I tossed some orbs at the banner with Noire since I was still missing all but Cordelia, but guess whom I got? Yes, Cordelia. Ugh.
No Ivy or Tharja for me, surprisingly the duo came on its own.
I guess I've not been too attentive with the game deadlines, I missed a few HoF Revival turns too and realized now I can't miss a single day if I still wanna get all the daily rewards, lol.
For Seer's Snare, I went with an all Infantry team last time, I'm going for all Cav this time. But also including a healer this time and thus far didn't have to enter the heal space thanks to that.
And yes, Lucia, Geoffrey, Rhea and Alear are pains in the butt in Training Tower. And occasionally in TT. I remember on Auto I had a healer left that was attacking Rhea with a tile gap between them, but always for 0 damage. Since I was on auto I didn't notice until I checked to see it was at like turn 727... rip XD

HoF Revival doesn't give orbs, so that's a waste of time anyway. Seer Snare is my new favourite mode. It's so much fun, even if it deliberately refuses to give me skill unlocks I really need. I decided to go in with Embla, Sain, Eitri and young Rebecca. You know, from the games that have a bonus or something? I just can't get Embla her perma-transform skill back :P
Hehe, what? Turn 727? The game even allows for that? XD Rhea seems slightly less powerful if you're countering, but that does mean you need to be able to survive her attack.. Stupid Heroes and its Three Houses bias..
EDIT: What the heck is that banner? Okay sure, it's Engage yay. But seriously, what is it? First of, why are there two rearmed heroes? Second of, why is one of them prince Alcryst and not prince Diamant, who is more suited for such a position (I love Alcryst, he's just not Diamant :P)? Third, why is there even a rearmed Engage hero, prince Alcryst didn't exist yet, so how is he REarmed? Fourth, why does every banner need to have an ascendant or rearmed hero? And why aren't rearmed heroes part of normal banners?! And fifth and quite possibly worst: Why the heck is poor Lapis demoted to 3/4?! Yeah there's a few heroes (Gilliam too for example) where it's best not to act. But the AI doesn't do non-attacking moves even if it kills them, apparently. At least as long as they do more than 0 damage, or something. Though with the many post-combat heal skills it might as well be 0 damage now.
Also did you notice Accessories got more expensive? I swear the bit ones used to cost 360 (aside from the 5k Veronica ones) but now they're 380. I'm still moping over that. I went to check when I got 360 and then... sigh. Not like that will get me to spend orbs on getting more resort points.
As for the turn limit, I dunno if there is one. Might be 999. Might be more. I don't remember if I ever got quadruples lol.
I agree Seer's Snare is fun! while only Otr and Ymir got a bonus slot, Sigurd and Alfred are still doing their fair share of work. Although it reminded me I still need to give two of them a Reposition skill or similar. Empty slots are wasted slots lol. Oh whale!
I've seen the news on M!Alear and Alcryst and I saw Diamant in someone's thumbnail. Didn't follow it any closer, I let the game surprise me as usual XD Glad to see the male Alear coming in, but still salty about the lack of OG Warriors. I get that they need to ride the momentum of the game though, assuming it still has any.

Yeah.. I wonder if they're ever going to update the engine to properly display pre- and post-battle HP statistics. Shouldn't be so hard to do to do accurate predictions, including post-combat heals. Maybe I'm just too dumb to understand predictions..

Well I noticed that the game gives extra skills to heroes that have none during Seer Snare. At least on the A/B/C/S slots. Would be nice if they handed out assist skills too, yes. I already crossed the paths of time though, got all my orbs in ^^

I got Eitr (not on first summon, but I got her). And Citrinne. But omg why is Lapis so hard to get aaaaah. I still don't have her and it feels weird to not have something that's a prepromote and available at 3* even. But that seems to also be the exact reason she is hard to get. You can't pick her as freebie option either XD But I'm sure she'll bump into me during other banners. Hopefully.
In Engage, Arena battles end in a draw after I think 10 turns, so no endless battles. Even if you could have won with chip damage eventually.
For Seers Snare, I did grab all me Orbs but for the final battle I could only do the lower tier. I tried a few combos but my all cav, 1-Range Team just wasn't sufficient on the final map for the higher tier. But eh, 2000 feathers. Didn't miss any orbs.

Aight so I forgot to get back about it, but my dad is out of the hospital. He's not supposed to drive until he got an examination at a larger place, which he will get soon. Fingers crossed. Doctors said he is quite healthy for his age (I have no doubts about that, he's in better shape than I am, haha).
Soooooooo. Summer Gauntlet. I would have gone with our boy Ephraim, if I had him, but since I didn't, I went with Shamir. Which worked for two rounds. Then we lost against Ymir so I went back to Ephraim just for the hecc of it. XD
The special summons with the single summon ticket were tricky for me to figure out, I actually took a screenshot of someone's list of the charas and removed all the ones I have, and then counted how many from each category I still needed. Most of them were colourless so that's where I went so far, except one time when there wasn't one in the pool. Eyyy I finally got Summer Frederick! It feels warranted after I forgot to freebie summon on that banner in time, haha.
There was one banner, I forget which one, where I ended up getting one of the focus units from another banner. Always weird when that happens lol. I been lazy about proper keeping track though, it's been more of a short form deal for me. Time to get that mojo back XD
Speaking of keeping track though, remember how not too long ago how we were discussing the leftover plothook about Freyja coming back? With Freyr finally summonable and all them Vanaheimrs being goats, I wonder if she'll be back soon. Holy crap teatime Sigurd is a beast! And being able to give the whole team a movement buff, and not just cav, is just the icing on the tea-cake! I'm a bit sad I didn't get Lysithea because of the whole true damage thing (not that I fully understand it, lol). Also, speaking of blue-haired crusaders the remix on Seliph actually makes him quite decent?? Even though I knew it was coming, I got stomped in AR a few times because I just didn't remember that he now has a guaranteed 1 HP survival lol.
Also here's my pulls from the 10 special tickets. I pulled for colourless the most since I was needing the most. Towards the end it was about ~30% chance for any colour pool to get something new. I don't have any of the tea timers yet, but I'm surely happy for you. Also nice that Ayra/Mercedes actually take the amount of damage predicted. I don't have LSeliph yet, but Freya has become super good now that she always transforms AND gets Canto if you refine her weapon. Woop~!

Oh no! What terrible luck indeed! Let me tell you about my own misery, so to speak. That tea banner? I've done over 40 summons.. and am currently at 5,25%. I have not summoned a SINGLE golden thing from that banner. Got two silver Leons today though? And I did get a silver Ferdinand earlier at least... No more luck on the Double Hero banner either. Nor on any of the piratey/thiefy banners..

It is possible that you had more special units, you've been at it longer and I have crappy luck whenever I try to obtain the old seasonal heroes (especially since they rarely get better odds even on revivals. And some units like DoD Alfonse are still not included in the 4-Star-Special-5-Star rates during seasonal revivals XD
Also yay Gullveig making it to the finals! Usually I have to switch teams at least once.
And the... Ascended and ReArmed revival banner... haven't summoned anything there yet because for one I think I own them all and also there's 1 ReA unit... might as well just call it an Ascended banner. Not like they rename Legendary banners for one ReA unit lol.

Is it a specific tribe, like the wrestling one?
I have been playing since this game's launch, more or less, yes. But the first banners (spring and bridal), I was too busy summoning normal heroes, not thinking special heroes were any... special. Silly me ^^;

In other news, I finally have my first actual golden summon from the tea time banner, just today. Percentage had reached 5.75% so you can do the math on how terribly unlucky I was there. Sadly it wasn't the cookie thief or the power duo... but you say Sigurd's a beast so I believe you ^^
Alear does look remarkably cute in that one. I do try my best to keep up with releases, though I sometimes miss an issue. They're still mostly fun. I even felt bad for Plumeria. What the heck was Nina thinking?! > ~<

And well the Wind Tribe does live in the Desert, yes. Rhajat, the Fates version of Tharja from Awakening, is actually the daughter of one of the recruitable units from there (2/3 Routes). Fuga is only recruitable in the Revelations route, and is the village chief. Kinda funny that he made it to the game before Hayato did. But I can appreciate the variety of putting a bald muscular man in, instead of another shota. I mean, I like
Ricken 2.0 but easternHayato. But it's nice to see IS cater to a variety of tastes.I wonder if that means we'll get to see an Ice Tribe banner next year, with Flora and Felicia's dad :D
Also speaking of taste holy moly Kagero is front-loaded, especially in the attack pose. Like she always had bit assets but dayum. Is that white strip even hiding anything at this point.
Aaaand Gullveig lost. I'm always annoyed when towards the end, I end up with my unit being stronger or same, so I can't cash in on the multipliers. And the event ends while I'm asleep, so rude.
AND YES SIGURD IS A BEAST! His Legendary form giving cavs extra move is already broken, but this Tea Sigurd can give everyone extra move, and he can trigger his special every turn. And yes under the right circumstances he can one-shot a bunch of the power-creep tanks too. Rip Edelgard and friends.
Also it's pretty obvious what Nina is thinking about XD It's kinda funny how much she is into boy x boy, considering her dad was the only gay romanceable character (and he's generally sex positive) but if you paired him up with male Corrin, she'd never be born, lmao. My headcanon is that she still ships her dad with other guys regardless of who her mom is.
It's not too bad to miss an update here and there though, that way you get to read more than one comic at once, that's great also :D

I'm struggling to make points in the Gauntlet because most of the time my team (Hinoka) has an advantage. At least while I'm up and checking. So Wind Claude eluded me, which is a shame. But with Halloween coming up I am not sinking more orbs in. And the return of the Engage banner reminded me that I dun goof'd and wasted two ReArmeds with Alfred because I didn't know better. I'm still so upset with myself over that lol. I did get me a Plumeria. Somewhere along the way I also was reminded that I still don't have OG Plumeria, only her NY alt and now this one.
Btw I love using Rearmeds in Refines because I get more dew for my arena medal use, so I can pimp the dew weapons faster. That alone made me decide to prioritze refining those arms first.
Legendary Elincia is a beast. With the same talent as my usual beast, allowing teleport, but she can also teleport herself. I wonder if my NY!Ash will be permanently replaced now XD I still haven't entirely tapped into the upper legions of the Arena, but I did make it to Tier 19 once, which was nice.
Speaking of (not tap battles)... wait I wanted to say more but I'm both tired and wide awake so idk what even is this lol. Been enjoying Excelblem's No-Somniel-Maddening run of Engage. Now he's trying a No-Shop/No-Gold Lunatic Ironman of Awakening based on something someone claimed to have achieved (without proof) back in 2014. I love FE but I'm too casual to do anything masochistic like that XD I don't wanna lose the joy of the game! and Awakening still has the most hours of all my 3DS games I think. I played it for years, and even more than Fates. Min-maxing ftw.
Do you think they're still gonna give us that Geneaology/Thracia remake? There's been a lot of speculation and teasing, but then, they also said Ike wasn't in Warriors 1 because he'd be in Warriors 2, and that aged spectacularly, lol. (Still salty about that and the lack of Lianna in FEH. Forever. Until my rant ages poorly as well!)

I have made it to tier 19 as well with my team of Brave Eirika, ninja Camilla, duo Nina/Kagero and one of the focus heroes, if I have any. Of course, I never make it past 19... but it's nice to dream. I do wonder what the purpose is of another queen Elincia. Wasn't that what Ascended Elincia was?
Oh I certainly agree. Why would anyone want to ruin their fun in Fire Emblem by taking these ridiculous challenges? And I think it's very well possible that Awakening is my most-played game on my 3DS too. It helps that it came installed on the special edition 3DS that I have ^^; And sleep more!

And well I only used Rearmed heroes when I had spares to re-mint them. Which I think so far has only happened with Ophelia. With Alfred I manual'd my extras thinking they'd stay minted, alas... one of my biggest regrets to date lol.
Admittedly I'm also curious why we have LH!Elincia when she's pretty similar to Ascended, design and plot-wise. But she is definitely an even bigger beast on the battlefield. Less of a glass-cannon, as it were.
Oh you have an Awakening 3DS? Me jellay! I do have the Majora's Mask one. I remember scrambling for all the DLCs before eshop shutdown and stuff. Though I still think the shutdown was BS. While the switch is able to be used as handheld, it isn't entirely a replacement to me... the type of games I play on it are the type of games I wanna play on TV mode anyways lol.
I'm looking forward to Another Code :D Really really really curious how well the DS mechanics carry over to Switch though. Because no other game has made as good use of the DS features as that one has, and it was pretty much a launch title. One of my fondest DS memories, and I replayed it quite a bit. Never finished the Wii one. I think it was during a time where a lot of games came out so I forgot about it XD But the hours I did play, I enjoyed.
I'm also looking forward to Fantasy Life i and to and Dragon Quest Monsters. Let's gooooo! Played the Demo for the latter. Might also keep an eye out to Detective Pikachu 2. Didn't get to play the first one beyond the demo. Always weird how there's waves of "buy all the games" and waves of "only buy the important games" for me XD but it happens. The Majora's Mask one is cool too, but that didn't exist yet when I was purchasing mine ^^ I am with you that the eShop shutting down was very very unfortunate. The Switch, in my opinion, is not a handheld console at all. It's too big for that. TV mode is best, tabletop mode is alright (but with the WiiU gamepad stand, which is far more reliable), but handheld? No way.
Same! I wonder if they'll add a bit more story to the sequel, since we never got the planned spin-off game starring Matthew, in his search for his father. And I do have to correct you there for a moment, there are two other titles that made good use of all of the DS' mechanics. These being Hotel Dusk - Room 215 and Last Window - The Secret of Cape West, or the Kyle Hyde duology. Of course, those games were also made by Cing, so it's not too strange they use the DS properly as well~!

Yeah, I saw Ginnugagap, but also the Attuned fairies in the datamine. So even Triandra wasn't a surprise to me. But since it's not like the TT was too far off so it was but a mild advance spoiler. And well I'm not surprised Attuned heroes became a thing, in the sense that every year a new 'type' gets released, as rearmed and harmonized and all of them the years before. There were rumours of a 4th skillslot so I guess now we got the confirmation.
And yeah that Awakening 3DS is so pretty, can't blame you for getting it when you had the chance! Sometimes I envy the people who can buy all of those special edition ones (only to let them rot in collector prison lol). My MM 3DS has some traces of usage, which on the one hand is sad, but on the other, it's being used as it was meant to, which is a different kind of beauty haha.
I didn't even realize you couldn't see what I'm doing on switch, I thought the only thing I hid was my online status to not annoy people XD Gotta check that out.

At least Ascended heroes appear in regular banners, but ReArmed and Atturned ones only appear when they're in the focus and that is just unfair. I actually got lady Veyle from my first free summon!! Like.. That very rarely happens! And she's so cute too ^-^ And powerful of course.
I overspent a little on orbs yesterday (like.. I wasn't planning on just grabbing a full pool... but I ended up doing so anyway), and I was rewarded with a ReArmed Fell Female Robin. Not quite the Ganglöt I was hoping for, but... now I at least have all Grimas again :D

Eh, sound problems while gaming are definitely annoying.. What is the problem exactly? I'm almost close to doing all the things I wanted to do before finally tackling the final level on FEE! Lapis just needs to befriend Ike some more and then go through Celica's bonding period before I give her the special ring and end this game~! Then I might do some stuff to wrap up, like the Tempest Trials, but after that I think I'm calling it quits. Most of those achievements are annoying anyway, AND getting those rings requires too many crystals.. Woo!

Speaking of though, I had a theory that Eitr was actually Freyja. My reason was the scar on her face, since there was some lore about Freyja being teased about her nose and her brother was the only kind person. So I thought it was like baby Freyja or something. Before she met her two dark fairy friends. It wasn't entirely as I thought but I got the core concept right at least XD
Zelgius was legit my fav from that banner, so I got him as my free pick. It does say Ninja though, not Samurai! Good grief Charge is so OP for Armor units I love it :D He is damn near unkillable unless you got the right kit (or it's NPC enemies that are stacked worse than anything you ever see in Lunatic+ mode lol).
I also had the theory that Heidr was actually the 'child' between the summoner and Seidr, not sure if I mentioned that before or not. It just seemed to make sense, at least after it was revealed that Seidr was Kvasir and turns into Gullveig. Why else would someone else suffer the golden serpent curse amirite, unless it was inheritable...
I digress though, hope you been doing alright! I'm so behind on my merge projects in FEH and keeping track of things. Too tired most of the time. Been a while since I played Switch too. I hope I can change that, haha. Although my TV not having any sound did sort of drive me away from playing anything in the first place.

Ooh, you actually remembered that detail? I never would have thought of that to be the thing people would use to link them together! Good thinking :) Honestly.. I didn't really care much for the story? I still think it's very weird how they handle these bits. Why not just.. dedicate a new proper book to the continuation of these stories, rather than having them crammed in with the Tempest Trials, leading to two storylines for the same event? It's just weird..
That being said, I am looking forward to how they're going to bring Eitri back with her plan to cue The Brain take over the world!

I thought Heidr was the phase between Kvasir and Seidr, which makes it all the more illogical for her not to appear in Seidr's mind-outside-of-time location.. And even if she's not actually Seidr, she was still her best friend AND she died so... why not save her to your mind too? As if the devs forgot about her.. Oh well, she might be back for the TT if the game lasts long enough~!

Hello, I am late yet again. But oooh there's so much going on in FEH now. First things first.
FUCK YEAH INIGO! I mean yeah we have alts but finally the OG! If only I could get that OG voice back for him (not that I hate the Fates VA, but ya feel.) I don't usually watch FEH channel and just let the game notifs surprise me but I'm glad I did :D
Also, watching the Book VIII opening movie a couple times now, it's amazing how much they can put in a less than 2 minute movie and still convey so much. Without words even! When I saw Ratatoskr I jokingly thought her headpiece looks like a nurse's, and then FEH named their group and I'm like waaaaat. Lots of waifubait so far but the guy (whose shadow I assume we saw heading towards Henriette) on the top left side of the poster doesn't look too shabby. I'm very excited to see what happens next.
So I chose Gullveig for a Freebie and then realised Kvasir might have been the better choice. Sunk more orbs in though I knew there was no spark. And guess what? Yes, my curse continues, I got another Gullveig, the one I just picked, but not Kvasir. I best not tell you how much I summoned until I decided to call it quits because there'd be the new banner soon... DX
I may or may not get something for christmas to help with my sound problem so I have thus far resisted the urge to go out and buy anything myself. Bought a lot of christmas gifts this year and now I gotta make sure to buy enough wrapping paper XD I'd gift you something if I knew how or what! You're like the only person I can talk FE with right now, aside from dropping my highly important opinion in youtube comment sections, lol. Like it sucks lacking people to share your passions with. And sure there's places I'm bound to find fans of FE and other stuff, but I also don't wanna like join 15 different sites for 15 things I like, or something XD
Today I did some random inheritance on manuals I had 40+ of for units I had at 9999 SP. Wasn't much, but eh. Maybe I should do it again with manuals at 30+. It feels like I'll never use them all up anyways but I dun wanna send them home for feathers either XD I used to do that whenever they hit like 30+. Eh. XD Still miss my FEH Keeper site. If there was the code somewhere I'd try to go from there and make my own. It'd be a lot of database work to do this all from scratch now... but the owner did answer on reddit (I think) at one point that part of their coding involved some personal stuff so they didn't intend to share... alas. If you ever find a cool tool for a massiver overthinker like me, do let me know!

I'm sorry for your loss. Might I ask why Kvasir is better than Gullveig? From what I understand, Gullveig can decimate the opposing army in a flash! I didn't sink many orbs into that banner yet (still trying to get the last ninja > -<), but I did pull a Legendary Guinevere at least? Yay :)
I get what you mean. While I appreciate the sentiment, you really don't have to get me anything, silly person. Spend that money wisely. On yourself for example! But thanks :) I do appreciate having someone to talk FEH with. The only other person I know who is really into Fire Emblem, really hates FEH.. So while I do bug them from time to time when I'm excited over a summon (like with lady Veyle, I still can't believe that!), I don't really get a response to that. At least with you it's fun and I get to curse you for getting all the cool heroes because you have infinite money~! :D (I don't hate you, I promise)
You don't send home your heroes? I usually do that when I have three manuals in reserve. Having 40? Insane! XD Oh, that reminds me, I need to buy those orbs for the background before I lose my chance again! I'm already missing one... Or did I miss this one too? No, I think I have another week... Who puts personal stuff in their coding? That sounds a little odd.. I wish I could help, but I know nothing of coding and such. He hurls insults at the rooster in the crown of the world tree and the dragon at its roots, pretending to pass a message along from the other. Wanna place a bet that Heroes' Ratatoskr made up the whole "kill the royal family of Askr and Embla" plot? :)

I honestly wondered why there is a basically just 3H banner (+ random Yunaka lol). While I do like the idea of both Byleths, or conversely, both gender versions of an avatar-ish unit as a duo, they also each had a duo of their own for alt banners already (but the tiny lord plushes are so adorbs uuuugh) XD And imma go broke for Dimi for sure. But hey at least this time I didn't run into data mines before seeing the notif xD But if 3H is for christmas I reckon they'll be excluded for new year's so I guess this is something?
Also I know Gacha games are waifu baiting but like... I hope for Book 9 the freebie unit is gonna be a dude. It's always been guuuurls. And I also have a hard time believing we truly saw the last of Bruno/Zacharias. Especially since we don't have a non-holiday version of him yet.Then again, I suppose Gustav really died too, so who knows. Alt-Hell for the OC dudes XD But I suppose it's par for the course that they keep coming for the parents, this IS a Fire Emblem game after all.
As for the Norse mythology, who knows. Back when I had my suspicions about Eitr being young Freyja, I checked if there was a connection of that sort or at least similar, and nothing showed up. It's possible that sometimes they borrow the names and framework but naught else. Time will tell! Somehow it feels like FEH isn't gonna pull a twist like that on us without heavy foreshadowing. I mean a lot of other times it seemed obvious where they were going. But then, I'm always happy to be positively surprised!

Oh I wouldn't be surprised if Claude also makes an appearance in next months banner ;) And I'm pretty sure Dimitri is going to be the four star special, so that should give you a bigger chance of getting him (despite having ridiculous skills also). My aim, naturally, is Yunaka :)
Yeah, it would be nice if we got a dude as a freebie unit, I agree. At least Ratatoskr isn't overly busty, like the two that came before (no comment on Ash though, she is TOTALLY adorable ^^). It would be nice if they just left Hentriette alone though. Even in Engage (oh, did I mention I finished the story finally, after 230 hours of play? XD) they left SOME parents alive!
In any case, we'll be tasked with killing every evil person again (what happened to letting them live? Laevatein didn't have to die after all..). Bit weird how "Healing Hands" are tasked with killing specific targets. And Veronica, according to the video at least, is going to bite the dust? It's not like we can turn back time this time around. I always find it unfortunate that lore from previous books doesn't really make it into the next. I get you don't want to confuse new players (are there still NEW players, really?) if they start playing at the newest book, but it's like Eir, Reginn and Ash don't even exist sometimes.. And now that the TT story of Nihility is coming to an end, I take it we won't see much of the butterflies anymore either. So sad.

For everything else, there's mastercardXDI had absolutely rotten luck with the NY banner. Got a full focus charge (2 Kana demotes so I guess that's... something) and then hit the spark. Only one freebie on that banner though. I guess they had to balance out that I got Legendary Camilla within 10 Summons... (been a while since I didn't max out for at least one spark on a new banner, but figured I'd save my orbs for the other new stuff instead of going for a freebie that'd be a duplicate of whomever).
Man I love FEH but the more I look at other gachas (not all as detailed as Genshin, but still, offering a wee bit more than a still image for the characters) the more I fear about it becoming too archaic... I was looking for the new game mode but it's too volatile with the affinity meter. My team and my partner's team were 100% from the two suggested games and I still ended up with a crappy affinity lol. like what the hell. But I'm all for anything that isn't PVP. I may be a whale in training but I am neither smart nor rich enough to actually matter in any rankings lol.
I agree that it kinda sucks how books are essentially isolated works and OCs barely interact with other OCs from separate books. I mean, disregarding alt summons, couldn't Ash and Seidr and Reginn bond over the family they lost in their respective stories? Couldn't Laevatein and Plumeria have an exchange over what it's like when you used to be enemies and then end up fighting for the same side? But I shouldn't get my hopes up so I can't be disappointed, haha.

I haven't tried that many summons in the New Year banner. Just one, actually, the free summon ^^ I'll probably try again today. Would be awesome to have the cute duo. But of course there's also last year's Ash to consider.. I do find it odd that they make Seidr to be Kiran's dedicated girl now, while that is, was and always will be Fjorm! >: |

I agree, there are many ways FEH could improve. I love the aesthetic and it doesn't have to be animated for me, but new good game modes that actually give us good rewards would be fine. I did like that Seidr event, where the game becomes a roguelike. That's a neat idea. Pay-out's good too. I love the game's map sprites, that's where the game truly shines. But we just NEED a better way of summoning. There are SO many heroes (over 1000!!!!!) and many of them are so hard to get. I still don't have a regular Sanaki for example, but you can only get her when she's in a focus. That is lame!
And when I compare FEH to its contemporary counterpart Dragalia Lost, I feel like you got a bunch more stuff for your bucks. Five expensive orbs for only one hero? And don't get me started on the unfairity of opening a pool, only to find it void of the colour you want/need. RE-ROLL!! That's what we truly need.
Or.. like.. a way to trade in golden heroes. Get one you don't need? Trade it in for orbs or another golden hero. Not trading between players, but with the game's own stocks or something.. I don't even want to be good at any ranking things. It's not fun to try too hard for that.
After the fourth book ending video, the idea of OCs interacting has all but abandoned.. And with Eir being matron of the dead now, basically, wouldn't she have the power to bring back characters who died, like Nott and Gustav? Bruno? I also still dislike the whole "Oh this character in costume is not the same as this character without costume, until it's convenient for our storytelling to be the case". Pick a lane...

Sooo rearmed Reinhardt eh? I wonder if the Magic is Everything meme will revive now lol. I'm not quite fond of his art though. I mean I like it better than the style of e.g. Mila and Gatekeeper but idk. It's not ugly per se, just not for me. Also two staff users on a new banner, that came as a surprise.
Also I dunno what it was but in the Hríd convo during Forging bonds, seeing the smile sprite was offputting somehow. Uncanny valley. XDI'm curious if the remix banners will have any units I still need... for example Fallen Byleth seems to be on it a lot. If I get lucky enough maybe this time... we shall see! I got a random Caeldori on another banner (I think NY or Xmas) so I'm not too worried about getting any of the 'normal' units eventually. Honestly the old event alts are the hardest still. I have yet to get a single Awakening Christmas unit from that banner I think XD
Not getting the colour you want in your pool absolutely sucks, can relate. Sucks especially if that colour was the only thing you were interested in/needed. And speaking of (repeated) interest, when are they finally gonna add Valentine's Alfonse to the 4 Star Special pool. Come on it's been years now :V I feel like it's been a long time since that pool got updated but maybe I'm wrong.
On the topic of abandoned things, I feel like we need more skills that build on older skills. I think they are starting to go in the right direction. What I mean is, there's so much older skill fodder but you'd never bother feeding those skills to a unit anyways, right? And with some of the Tier 4 skills now based on older ones I have hopes that not everything is useless, so that you can focus on just inheriting the Tier 4 ones from expensive fodder and can keep going to silver and bronze manuals for the pre-reqs. That would be ideal indeed. Rather than having a new Tier 4 skill that also has brandnew Tier 1-3 skills it is based on, since that limits the spread for inheritability. I've also seen people complain that we can still only inherit 4 skills given that arcane weapons and echo skills will always take a slot anyways but that doesn't bother me as much. IF more skills build on older fodder that wouldn't even be an issue.
I digress though. I wanna see beefy deer boi already but I'm guessing the next chapter will be snakegirl since we got eaglegirl this time.

I like that they added two staff users, and neither of them is the four star hero. Quite unique!
Sadly I have yet to summon any of the New Year heroes.. First golden hero appeared the day before yesterday and it was a brave Corrin.. that I had gotten for free. And now I'm back to 3%. So unfair! I just wanna have fun with the eithrs! Nothing on the Camilla banner either. Not having great luck so far this year :P Oh well, Christmas period was lucky. Just hope the free hero from this year will be a new one for me.
No, I feel like they haven't updated such pools in a long time either. Not that I ever get anything from special four star special rates in old banners. Well, I got a hot spring Sakura once... which is the only hot springs hero I already had XD Still, they just need to make those older heroes much more accessible. They're so weak anyway, they're just there for collectable value now.
Yeah, old skills are so weak, aren't they? Not that I inherit a lot. I hand out a Swap or a Pivot every now and then, but I don't really touch A/B/C skills that often. Also because most heroes come with their own A/B/C skills now anyway. A good example of old things just being pretty useless was the refined Minerva from last update. Yay my special deals plus ten damage now when it triggers. Doesn't change the fact that she's a year 1 hero and flipping weak compared to what's new! :P
