I don't like snails, never had a reason too.
And that's an interesting Giant African land snail, didn't even know that this exist, thanks for the fact.

They are great when seasoned with garlic and butter.

I've only tried them on a cold pie that was served as a dessert. I didn't like them.
I would try the garlic and butter version.

When I was younger we called them "a ball of snot with a crash helmet." Not particularly fond of them, as a pet, walks take forever. Escargot a really big snail there :P
Oh yes, and thank you so much for this awesome giveaway.

I sometimes help them cross the street so people do not trample them, they usually appear after rain.

It's a weird looking creature and looks less slimy than it's cousins.. so - maybe?

I wonder if you can anger a snail and how would you do it, keep knocking on his shell?

edit: They are probably slow to anger...

They are hard to anger but usually explode when the reach a critical anger level.
The best way to anger them is to constantly tell them about your vegan diet ... they hate people who eat their stuff.

Well, my sister got an aquarium and a bunch of fish and the snail in question. Then we had to separate the snail because it kept eating the plants. So it ended up in my room in it's own aquarium.
As it tuns out it had a lung and it was breeding through this extendable "tentacel" and it was able to extend it to atleast 20cm. It also meant that it wasn't necessary tied to the water, and eventually it started to climb out and had adventures around the house...
