I always found that argument to be disingenuous. As if everyone has the same games already, are interested in entering giveaways for the same exact games, and spend their points the same way too. Clearly there is a lot of variation from person to person, so just because one person might be swimming in points it doesn't mean that the next guy is.

Anyway, to me the main issue with fake giveaways was never really so much about the points as it was how disappointing and 'shitty' it must feel for the winner to win something and have it turn out to not even be legitimate. And of course the bigger the prize the worse it makes that. That just sucks.
