One of my favorite strategy games. Someone gifted it to me years ago just as a friend so I figured it's right to give it on to someone else now :)

Doesn't really answer the question. Although my personal view on these things is that if the monetary value of what you don't have from a given pack is equal, or greater than the monetary value of what you do, then it'd be ok. In this case the base game is valued at $30 US, while the DLC included in this is valued at $42 US.
If you enter for $10 of DLC from a $+30 game it's undesirable, but when the values are similar, equal or superior from that of base game then it's acceptable to enter IMHO.
I just started playing the base! its awesome so far. I heard the slingshot DLC is helpful to complete before you get too far into the campaign so thank you for the chance! =]

They're the same price, it's just that there are two other smaller DLC too.

For me, XCOM is 69, and EW is 79, local currency. The smaller DLC is 12 and 7 each.

Yeah, it's pretty odd. It seems like only in the US it is the same price (including GMG). On all other steam regions they have different prices..
