I am forced to echo tron34 -- The Thing is a masterpiece of fear. Body horror, paranoia, atmosphere so thick you could choke on it, and that's not even getting into the terror of dealing with a grotesque, alien, amoral creature that can infect you before you even know it. I love that movie so much.
