It's to cover my ass. Imagine if you were a parent and found out your kid was playing a game that was too violent/graphic for them at their age, wouldn't you want to figure out how they got the game? Any good parent would. I could get reported for "distributing" a game to an underage minor, if a parent felt like taking the time to go after me. A very unlike scenario, but easily preventable, and I'm surprised more people on here don't do it q:
