I took the time to read this entire visual adaptation of the novel and get all of the cheevos. It was actually quite good. :)

i usually try to avoid any "visualnovel-ish, pointandclick-ish" stuff, and never touched this one...still, it also looks, as you're saying, to be something good.
just tagged as "play-me-soon"!

It's good because it was a (classic) novel first. So bear that in mind...the writing style is very old. But that's what makes it work. I, too, don't really like the style of most visual novels...they all have the same anime art and contrived romance that makes no sense with clueless characters with shallow motivations. I only play 'em on occasion for the cheevos. But because this is an actual novel, it doesn't have multiple endings or anything...it's just an enjoyable read with some interactivity. I put it on my tablet and went through a couple of chapters whenever I had a plane flight or if I was hanging out with my wife in front of the TV but she was watching some godawful reality show or schlocky Hallmark movie. :D
