And yet another copy of Dragonfall for this year's Community train. Because it's THAT good. Seriously. Even now. Yes, it continues. Deal with it. I may or may not find other games this year though. Depends on how lazy I am.
P.S. Glory is STILL best gurl in the Shadowrun series. LC aghs fite meh.

Already have it, just wanted to say how awesome the game is. 😁🤩

The first from the new series was amazing and I read that the next are even better.
I just hope it gets rebooted somehow. :(

Well, I wouldn't mind more (Good) games from the same or even different devs on this series. It's like on the fine line of fantasy and sci-fi that just entertains my thoughts. It just feels wasted to be ignored or left to just tabletop which is usually WAY more expensive and a chore (You need at least 3 other actual people for one and one has to be capable of playing the game master unless you can do it.) to even get running.

The fantasy part of this universe isn't actually that fantasy. :)
From what I remember, they don't have the IP anymore and MS bought it some time ago. Just hope of the best that MS game studios comes up with something cool!

Well, you get fantasy races with magic. XD Can't exactly say that totally isn't fantasy, right?
I think the IP is still owned by Topps but they sell the license to use the IP to anyone who can afford it and make it profitable for them. The RPG license is currently owned by whoever did Boston Lockdown and the videogame license is owned by some guy named Jordan, I think.

There is magic, but I think in the books there are more details. Actually, everything in this universe from magic and races has an explanation. That's all; I don't want to spoil more!
And the IP expired so it just sits in MS's room accumulating dust. :(

Yes, but it still counts as a fantasyesqe feeling thing which in my books kinda counts. it's not like a super serious gritty 'realism' take on it. though to be fair, most fantasy races could be done f the technology allows for it. Body mods/mutations and such maybe even in our own future.
If the IP expired, that means I think it's in the hands of M$ or that Jordan guy. Sadly, I think they sold out Harebrained Schemes to Paradox Interactive. So I would assume it's another level of mess if they do want to make another.

So... quick research:
1) Harebrained Schemes (Jordan Weisman company) owns a PC license for SR.
2) Cliffhanger Productions (online game) owned (?) the online and mobile license.
3) Harebrained Schemes was bought by Paradox for a hefty sum.
I think this means that HS can make more Shadowrun games under the "guidance" of Paradox and that MS owns the online license.

Under guidance of Paradox MIGHT lead to DLCfest though. That publisher's greed has ruined many games before, especially on mobile. Just look up the story of KoPaP 2 on mobile.

Yes, Paradox does that... :(
Heck, I'll reply to this as soon as any news surface! :) Who knows what might happen?

Who knows indeed. Just like VtM way back in the days, heh.

Ah, I started this one but didn't get very far! The estimated time to beat it was so long (compared to what I usually play, at least) that I thought I should come back to it when I had more free time. You've made me want to boot it back up now.

It's the best of the 3 games they released. Well worth the time playing as long as you keep saves. There's one late game bug that can ruin everything if you aren't careful, but it's pure RNG if it'll happen or not so reloading an older save helps.

Oof, thanks for the warning. I'll be sure to keep multiple saves on hand if I go back to it.
