What is your favorite Resident Evil game? Or, if you're a fan of the genre, top 5 maybe?

My top five RE games are:

1. Resident Evil 2
2. Resident Evil 4
3. Resident Evil / REmake (I like them both equally for different reasons).
4. Resident Evil: Code Veronica
5. Resident Evil 5

I never played RE3, otherwise that would probably (at the least) take RE5's spot (I assume?).
I didn't even really like RE5 that much, lol, though it was fun to play with a friend. I played the RE6 demo and was like nah that ain't me.

Also, the movies are a guilty pleasure of mine. They are absolutely stupid. Feel free to talk about those, too. :D

If you hate Resident Evil (why are you here? :P ) or maybe it's just not your favorite... what is your favorite horror game/series?
I was also a big fan of the Silent Hill series (did not like the movie). Alan Wake (although not strictly "horror") is also one of my all-time favorite games/universes. Has anyone ever played Obscure? I bought those games on a Steam sale because I remember them being pretty fun at the time, but I haven't tried them again. I actually haven't played a lot of the "recent" horror games that have been released, either (Outlast, Amnesia, Layers of Fear, etc.). Any recommendations? I love adding to my wishlist, haha. :D
