Indeed, something can go wrong, if you got this in the Humble 2k Bundle 2. There're reports that the key is actually for the Director's Cut edition, so the winner would be marked as having unactivated wins for the DLCs. You should contact him/her, and ask their permission to submit a "change giveaway game" ticket. Also, make sure the winner isn't from Germany or Japan, as the game can't be activated in those countries.

Now there's another problem: the Director's Cut edition isn't in the giveaway database yet, so you can only change the giveaway to the base game (that gives less CV) now that the winner activated it, or wait for it to be added.
Anyway, you must get permission from the winner first.
