I do a check of the sg members that are in my wishlist and look at some stats like their ratio and I check if they have activated all the games they have won.
For the record you didn't activate this game but I think here it's a game selection error on the part of the creator of this giveaway and when activating the key on your account you didn't see that it was the wrong game.
I'll let you handle this with thejaff72 and the support.

The one you have listed here seems to be removed from steam so I don't know if this game was converted to the Kingdom Rebuilt one. Do you know?

Yes, it was converted to the Kingdom Rebuilt version. I don't know if that happened before or after I made this giveaway but they are the same game.

Yes, I 100% activated it. I'm just trying to figure out what to do since the Rebuilt version is what I have in my library and the old version is listed here. I don't know if I am going to get a suspension or something haha

SG regularly updates its game database, so if a game changes title it will be reflected in the giveaway name.
In this case, it looks like the developer made the game Townsmen, and then blocked it from sale after they released Townsmen - Kingdom Rebuilt. Those are two different games, even when were made by the same developer. If it was the same game, it would not be possible to own them both at the same time.

I asked winner to provide a screenshot of what was activated. If it's a different game, giveaway feedback would need to be changed to Not Received. Giveaway can't stay with the Received status if wrong game was delivered. That's why it's important to double-check what is given away, and if there are doubts make a support ticket.
Alternatively, this giveaway could be deleted. Both ways lead to the same result - the winner won't be reported as having inactivated win, and creator loses one giveaway slot (and any CV that was associated with the giveaway, if it was not for a free game). But we need to wait for winner reply to process.
There are also games on Steam with identical names. Try to google "Void" to see there are 4 games with the same title. Creator can't pick a random "Void" option visible on the giveaway creation page, and deliver the key they have. It is true that the winner used the key, but it's not their fault it did not activate the correct game. If they mark giveaway as Received they risk suspension.

However, your example for Void is for 4 different games with the same title. Townsmen and Townsmen - Kingdom rebuilt is ultimately the same game.
Anyway, Ill see what happens, but it seems like Ill be the one getting fucked with a negative on top of a given game not recognized...nice.

They are not the same game. Same as Mass Effect Trilogy and Mass Effect Legendary Edition, or Crysis and Crysis Remastered are not the same games. It's irrelevant how we feel about it, a different amount of work went into both, and their code is different. If they were the same, then the developer would not create a different appID for it.
This is a reminder to double-check what is being given away, before confirming the giveaway. It's not SG or winner fault, that you made a mistake here.
Moreover, if we keep this giveaway as Received the winner will be unable to actually win this game. Site doesn't allow entering for giveaways with games that were won and marked as Received, in order to prevent multiple wins from happening.
